No complaints!!

Lived in the Knick for almost 3 years and have little to no issues! The building is in such a good location downtown with conveniently located parking and even if you choose to park on the street 99% of the time there are spots right out front of the building. I have had nothing but positive experiences with maintenance and the other tenants in the building! The all in living charge is so nice because I don’t have to worry about my expenses fluctuating due to the weather. I have no plans to find... another place to live anytime soon!

Inaccurate listing; bait and switch

Stay away from this place especially if you have a dog. Their requirements change on a daily basis and are constantly baiting and switching. Redburn needs to hire actual professionals to handle their business; what a disaster of an organization.

Overall, it a great place to live

I have been a resident here for a little over 2 years now and couldn't be happier with my apartment. I really appreciate the mix of historic and modern elements that went into this building. All friends and family who have stopped by always complimented how nice it is. We often use the public lounge to hang out, play ping pong or pool. Having a private gym in the building was a plus. The location is great, with lots of options for dining and entertainment within a short walk. I would recommend... this apartment building to anyone looking for a place that offers everything you need in one spot

Leasing impossible to reach, do not even respond after you apply.

They don't contact you back after you apply, either way, it is all automated, didnt tell me if I got the apartment or not, left a few voicemails, a few emails, all unreturned. Then they divert you to someone else after you leave numerous voicemails, who is very uninterested and only texts. Never heard of this in my life, most leasing offices speak to you like a human, in person, they pick up the phone or return calls within a day or two. Honestly if I was not on a time crunch to look, I would... abandon Redburn and not even try. They have a complicated voice prompt by each, building, yet that is not even the right number, you then reluctantly get a call back to give you another number of a person who only texts. No human contact. I have also never seen group tours, very impersonal.

Don’t say I didn’t want you*

I have lived at The Knick for 2 years, I don’t know where to start. The constant management turn over and lack of communication is one. My dishwasher and washer/dryer has been declared “been fixed” about 8 times (no this is not exaggeration.)
Parking is an absolute nightmare, they attempt to sell you on the garage parking spots. They fail to inform you that the nearest one has very tight turns and it’s very dark and scary for a single female to walk down flights of stairs alone. Why flights of...
stairs do you ask? Because all of the good spots have been reserved for Redburn or other employees and the tenants must park levels up. They will tow your car at the unloading area, so please have your lights on at all times! Towing is about $250
Parking tickets on Sheridan and Pearl street run about $40-50. Also if you have pets there is NO grass available for quite a bit. This is such a problem to stress because some poor babies can’t hold it and end up urinating outside of the building. Please think about all of these factors before moving in because to move out you must pay two months rent and WAIVE your deposit.
Which I am fortunate enough to be able to do.
Byeeeeee Felicia.
