Best apartment I've ever had

I lived at Beaver Meadow for over four years (May 2018 to September 2022), and loved it; of the six apartments I've had in five states over fourteen years (including my current one), this was by far the best. I moved out only because I was moving cross-country to be closer to family, and if I could've brought the whole building (and Cheryl, the property manager) with me, I would've done it in a heartbeat.

My apartment was nice and spacious, and rent was extremely reasonable. Cheryl was always...
responsive to concerns, and maintenance was on the ball. I DID have to buy a washer and dryer for my unit (there are a few coin-operated washers and dryers at the main office, but not in the individual apartment buildings), but it was worth the initial expense to not have to deal with a communal laundry room. $75 extra a month for a garage isn't bad, and it's definitely a worthwhile investment for a North Country winter, especially if you're in the Army and need to be at PT on time. The complex is safe and decently removed from the highway, but Target's immediately accessible, Walmart is right across the street, and most of Watertown's other major businesses are within a 5-minute driving distance, including all sorts of food options.

Special note if you're physically disabled in some way: I was crippled in a training accident in 2018, but I didn't have to move apartments, because all the doorways and spaces are wide enough for a wheelchair or a walker, counters are a good height, and elevators service every floor of the buildings. Moreover, management always called out people who improperly blocked handicapped spots, and they added another handicapped spot to my building's parking lot when another handicapped guy moved in.

Fantastic apartment complex!

Convenience is a Must. Not a Plus

So far, me and my husband have been living in Beaver Meadow Apartments in Watertown, NY for about 2 months. Our first thought after being shown around the building was 'wow'. And that thought still stands to this day. The elevator is the most convenient feature since we live on the top (fourth) floor. Groceries aren't a pain in the butt to bring inside. The security of all of the buildings is pretty good, with key card entry or a passcode. It makes everyone feel pretty secure. Beaver Meadow... Apartments are also located within 1 mile to most of the chain restaurants, superstore, and Salmon Run Mall. Target is definitely walking distance. Another convenience is that a garage can be provided to you with a small fee of $50. There are plenty of one car garages plus lots of parking space for residents to use. The community clubhouse is neat and has a great exercising equipment and also a room for us to use for parties, baby showers, weddings, etc. And lastly, and also my favorite, there is a very nice running route around the building. Half of the route is on a flat elevation while the other two quarters are up and downhill. And because these apartments are somewhat secluded, traffic isn't a problem. So all of these awesome things I listed makes this place one of the best places to live for the rest of my husbands military career. I love this place.
