A cheap place with poor management.

I strongly recommend avoiding this rental property. I rented from this location for two years and left mainly because after the first year everything started breaking. I had to have the AC fixed three times in two years. There was water damage (and then pest control due to the water damage) from poor drainage in the upper units. Additionally, the materials in the apartment were cheap enough that simply trying to wash a smudge off the wall with a damp rag discolored the paint.
If I were...
considering renting in Columbus, I would look for non-complex (local landlords) as they are decently cheaper; the place I moved to was $200 less a month with more square feet and the same amenities.
Furthermore, the added fees over the years (such as the parking fee) also added up to make the place honestly not the best deal. To add insult to injury when I moved out I used movers who scuffed the place up (mainly just dirt and dust that could be washed off in a couple minutes). I actually over-paid the last bill by accident and figured that would cover the cleaning costs. Not only did JDS Battery B perform the petty math of deducting the $60 I over-paid from the $200 cleaning charge, but also threatened me with sending my bill to collection on the first notice.
This place is honestly not worth the price considering all the other options in the area, especially considering how cheap the apartments are put together.

Don’t live here

Apartment looks very cool at first until you realize it’s horribly designed. My apartment has a huge leak in the bedroom that is Forcing me to sleep in the living room, it’s damaging my property and dropping onto a power outlet breaking all the stuff I owned next to it. Maintenance broke things in my apartment and put a large hole in the floor. These problems have persisted for the two months I’ve lived here and have been exhausting. This apartment is not worth the outrageous price and headache....

PART 1 What a rip off. Worst decision I've ever made

This building was essentially created as an art project to win a design award, based on outside appearance, looking at it from far away. Once they won the award they went straight to ripping people off. Once you start living here and interfacing with the apartment you'll question why you devoted 12 months to living here. No consideration went into the tenant's experience and the things they need from an apartment.

These stupid drapes they force you to use provide no privacy at night. Why they...
didn't go with blinds like a regular person probably stems from trying to win that pointless art award. People outside can see into your apartment at night through the drapes. This is perfect for the people who line up along East 2nd ave at the traffic light blasting their music at midnight.

Floors are paper thin. You will hear the footsteps, the voices, and every object they set down from not just your direct upstairs neighbor, but the two people flanking them as well. Footsteps reverberate throughout the entire gap between their floor and your ceiling. If you enjoy the feeling of a perpetual hangover or migraine then this is your place! And you get to enjoy it from the comfort of your poorly designed home.

I have 4 cabinets in my unit. There is absolutely no storage space in the kitchen which has lead to things like aluminum foil just sitting out in the open which looks awful to all of my guests. They expect you to store all your food, pots, pans on shelves right above the stove. If you enjoy cooking like I do you'll find that after a week a sticky film has developed on everything on those shelves. Absolutely gross.

Couldn't fit everything you will need to know in one review, look for part 2 to get the full scoop on what living here has been like for me.
