Semi OK - Beware when you move!

The apartments are decent. The problem occurred after my daughter broke her lease. She paid the lease break agreement fee and final rent. We cleaned the apartment and it was surely ready to rent. I understand that you are responsible for the rent in a case where the apartment does not rent before the end of the original lease. The manager keeps saying the apartment has not rented month after month. This was a model apartment right next to the front door and there is no way it should not have... rented. The manager continues to give me the same scripted speech that we are responsible. She recently told me she does not have time to speak to me because she has other work to do. DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE FROM THEM. Nice as can be to your face but not willing to help. In fact, my belief is that they will suck the guaranteed money as long as possible from tenants. Not a good way to run a rental company. I rent out places all the time and would never treat my tenants like this. There is a waiting list to get in but yet they claim they cannot rent the apartment.

Terrible

Over priced for small space! I lived their for four years and they aren’t giving me my deposit back and are charging me for a spotless apartment.. they really charged $15 for a dirty ceiling fan. I received no calls or anything about this issue now they are saying they are reporting to a bill collecting agency. I didn’t get this information from them but from my roommates mom. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION and leasing service

Horrible Experience.

This was my first apartment as a college student, when I first moved into the apartment I had some issues. My apartment was not entirely clean, holes in walls, tiles falling off in the bathroom, and poor placement of cabinets. I also realized the security was poor, being in a sketchy area, you can walk right into the building. I also had troubles with a loud neighbor blasting music at 1 or 2am at night. Maintanence was an issue, and they do not do a good job. Also, management does not pick up... the phone or call you back, mostly rude. I would not reccomend living here. It was a horrible experience.

Great off-campus living

I lived at Jordan Court two years while pursuing my graduate degree and it was a perfect place to study and live. The apartments are close to Kent State and the downtown businesses, very walkable.

Jordan Court Apartments

Very small but very nice apartments. Definitely an upgrade from the last apartment I was in. It doesn't look all old and tacky like most of the apartments in Kent that are on the cheaper side.
I live in a one bedroom with my girlfriend and there are 2 big closets in the room with sliding mirror doors which is a huge plus. The kitchen area is small, but aesthetically pleasing with a full size black refrigerator, a newer electric stove, and wood-finished cabinets.
Something that I didn't like is...
there is a closet right by the doorway, which made it really difficult for a couch to fit through. We had to get a smaller couch. We also don't like that it's so small that the bathroom is right by the kitchen...(ew)... The hallways are a little scary-looking and old but I think these apartments are definitely worth it, especially for the price!
