We have lived here for about two years now, in two different units. We moved from a 1 bedroom into a 2 bedroom, both units were absolutely beautiful and they made it very easy for us to transfer everything over. The new management was already here before we put in an application and there are truly are a great set of people here who care. They will try to work with everyone. Maintenance always on top of it too when you need them, as we have called a few times. They have redone the entire parking... lot as well and covered large potholes. As far as noise go, if you open the front windows, it can be noisy due to traffic but the sound barriers are excellent once you close the windows. Open the back door to the lake and you get this most amazing breeze and an amazing view. Neighbors are respectful and quiet. You will need to pay to do laundry. Most units will NOT have a washer/dryer NOR have a washer/dryer hookup. Great thing is they have a laundry facilities right at the Ground floor, the room is large and will always have space usually to accommodate for how many residents there are. On every floor in the main hall right off the elevators, they have a trash chute so throwing away your trash bags is very convenient. Overall, this is truly a beautiful place to reside. The building is very old but they seem to maintain very well and have been updating units/repainting. They post newsletters in the elevators usually every month and they do fun activities for the residents. Flat rate for utilities was great. It’s hard to find that in apartments. Perch On Lake
I've lived at the Perch for 1 year and just renewed my lease for 18 months (longest lease they offer at this time)..Why you ask? New owners who care; new management who care; a rejuvenated and experienced maintenance team who care....things have changed a lot in the last year...you couldn't ask for a better property management team....they are warm, professional and ready to do what they can....this building had been "milked" by the previous owners...no management team can do anything without... adequate resources....slowly but surely, between the owners, property management and maintenance the building keeps getting rejuvenated...for me, it's a pleasure to watch...the lake views (if you get one) are exceptional and when you consider the view, the unit size, the parking, the amenities, the privacy/security and the rent, it's hard to beat...Sure it could be perfect...it isn't, but if it were...you probably couldn't afford it.....you have to remember that this property accommodates pets and smokers (I have neither)….but for the most part, it's not a problem...otherwise, I would not have renewed my lease....if nothing else, the view is worth it....
