Maintenance

I’ve lived here for a few years and management is much better now. Maintenance has some shortcomings but the office and manager are wonderful. All issues are responded to immediately. The apartments are adorable and the neighbors are nice.

avoid at all cost

They never fix anything. Submitted work orders a year and a half ago and still nothing fixed. Crappy management. And it's always the tenants fault that something breaks even though the appliances are circa the 90s. If you can afford to look somewhere else, please do. Just beware!

Bedbugs, carpet beetles, and poor management

I brought attention to bedbugs in the building at Hampton Place apartments.... almost a month later there are still bedbugs in the hallways, units, and in the attic. They're coming through the HVAC vents (from the attic side).
There are carpet beetle infestations as well. Several units (including mine) have dozens (or more) larvae all over the apartment.
Owner was also notified and there has still not be remedial action to eliminate these pests.

AVOID THESE PROPERTIES or anything managed by...
Kings Cove.

Would never recommend anyone live here.

These townhomes and apartments are super old and way out of date. The water leaked from the tub so many times to the kitchen and they tried blaming us. If i took more than a 5 minute shower it would leak and i even had the shower curtains in the shower correct and a bath mat. The plumbing is awful! The toilet always had issues and the sink would clog all the time. The sliding closet doors came off the hinges all the time and the air conditioning was so out of date and they would have to change... out the coolant multiple times every summer. The lawn service people are shady and i know for a fact that we went into the house real quick for a few minutes and came back out to everything in the car moved around looking for money. They watched us pull in and go inside. There was a fire and then almost another right after that. Cars tires and rims were being stolen and our antenna was stolen off our car. There is literally no security or cameras around the buildings except the office which I've only seen the security drive around maybe twice when we first moved in.
But the best part is when we first moved in we noticed the plugs would spark and they wouldn't come fix them right away and kept saying they were busy until i told them it was a fire hazard. Never had enough people for maintenance and when they did fix what was wrong they left a muddy mess everywhere. It was like pulling teeth to get anything fixed. They have recently upped their prices and are absolutely not anywhere worth it. If you can afford to get a house you are better off buying one and paying the same or less a month on your mortgage payments than towards a trashy building.

Maintenance

My A/C has been on the fritz for two years, alls they did was changed the filter. Its cooler outside than inside. Neighbors went out and bought a window A/C cause they're burning up too in here.
