They recently started a remodel; painting, replacing light fixtures and carpets in the hallways. Before the place was quiet, you couldn't hear people in the hallways or other dogs bark but since replacing the carpet the hallways echo and you hear almost everything/one. Our lease is up in September and we're counting down the days until we can move out.

Great Location, but other than that... not worth it
The location is great and the building is clean, I have to give it that. It looks new, but it is missing a lot of the amenities you might expect — there's no AC and the heating is old, radiant heat. There is a fair amount of turnover with management so things don't get addressed right away. The walls are very thin. This is one of the noisiest places I've ever lived in. Never had to sleep with earplugs until now. They charge for cleaning when you leave, like a lot, so don't expect your deposit... back.

Management is useless
The building itself is alright. There are less in-unit amenities than I would like (no washer/dryer, DW is very dated, doesnt come with a microwave) but I'm fine with that. I have adapted. However, what I have not adapted to is the lack of responsibility that the management company takes when dealing with issues. There have been "transients" squatting on the roof of the building for the last week and no action has been taken. The police were called last night and were unable to do anything... since the roof doors were locked. That's fine, I understand that's a safety thing. However, when the emergency maintenance line was called to get the police on the roof, no one responded to the call and nothing could be done. Management rarely responds to emails, and frequently says they will take care of something, and then it never happens. If you are fine not dealing with management at all except to pick up your packages (which is another hassle, as they claim to be open until 6, but frequently leave earlier than that), then by all means, this is a fine place to live. However, if you want a place that will actually care about the residents and help them resolve issues that the building should take responsibility for, then I would avoid this place at all costs. The building gets a 2 star rating because without management, the building is alright, probably about 4 stars. It is nicely located near Buckman Field, is spacious, and quiet. Management knocks down that rating completely.
