I read the five star review on here, and laughed audibly. First of all, the manager is great. Truly. She's responsive, and she cares. That matters. But the building matters more, and it's not put together well. I lived on the 3rd floor. I don't believe that there was a bowling alley above me, but there might as well have been. Every footstep and everything placed on the floor comes through loud and clear. It's really quite remarkable. The water pressure is awful, and the sounds from the street... are extreme. If you want a clean building and good management, this isn't a bad place. If you want to live in place where you can't hear neighbors constantly, try elsewhere.

Great location in a new building
A block away from Mississippi Ave hustle and bustle but surprisingly easy to find parking. We lived on the 3rd floor facing Mississippi. Great natural light and big windows to let in the fresh air. Apartment has an industrial feel with concrete floors and high cielings. Never heard upstairs neighbors and never received complaints from downstairs neighbors. Manager was quick to respond to our needs about a window that wouldn’t close all the way. Building itself was tidy and secure. Great spot to... entertain and live amongst it all. Bought a house so we moved.

Thin walls, cheap construction, no counter space
Noise insulation is very poor at these very small apartments. You can hear your neighbors very clearly. There is also very little counter space or storage space in the kitchen and bathroom, forcing you to buy your own storage and counter-top solutions for both areas.
Prices are high, but construction was apparently done in a very cost-cutting manner. The surfacing ofmthe floors was done without cleaning them first, leading to flaking paint all over the floor in apparently all apartments... .
Water runs down inside the walls during heavy rain and you can see water staining on the concrete in the ground floor lobby as a result. You can also hear the water leaking in the walls.
This building recently changed management (around November 2016).
