STAYYYYY AWAAAAAYYYY

This place is a disaster. It really isn’t worth your time or your money. I lived here from late 2022- mid 2024 and i hated every minute of it. There is never anyone in the office and they’re constantly cycling through new office people so trying to get ahold of anyone is like pulling teeth. My packages were regularly getting stolen, the elevators were always breaking down, there is pet waste everywhere (in the lobby, elevators, hallways etc), the trash service never shows up, the hot water... heater is always broken, the fire alarms go off regularly and are going off for at least 45 mins, cars are being hit/scratched and people were even breaking into cars at one point but there’s no cameras in the parking lots. They removed the pool and then raised our rent $300. The only redeeming quality to this place is the maintenance guys. I’ve only needed them once or twice (thankfully) but they were very nice. When i tried to break my lease because i purchased a home the contact has a lot of wording making it very confusing so i tried to get ahold of someone prior to putting my notice in and it took 15 phone calls (with voicemails), 5 emails and 6 messages through their resident portal and when i finally got a response the lady who spoke to me gave me another email and phone number of someone else to “help me” but it was just the main number for the building and an email that i got a response that i was blocked from sending emails to. then when i finally got someone to help me i was able to put my notice in. It was such a headache from start to finish. I really believe there are better places for you to look at. Oh and good luck getting to your apartment during December with lights in the parkway. The line of cars goes down martin luther and you’re stuck behind all of them . The apartment itself isn’t horrible but I think everything else ruined the experience for us. I know apartment buildings will have their issues but I just feel like the way this place would go about handling everything was very poorly. Even with the stolen packages we were told that they were going to be redoing the mailroom and making it “new and improved” but it never happened. By the time i left there was a massive hole in the wall (not even sure from what) between the mail slots and notes saying “mail theft is punishable by law”.

Terribly Run

While you're looking at a little less expensive place to live, and there's a beautiful park nearby, almost everything about the way this place is run is sub-par. Electric outages, gas leaks, problems with hot water. Oh and their pest control maintenance is a joke. Once every couple of months, a pest control person will walk into your apartment and almost immediately walk out, while you experience fruit flies, cockroaches, and mice. Because of lousy tenants who cannot respect property and take... care of their own mess, the pool closes at 5 during the summer, which doesn't really make a difference if you work normal hours. Security is highly questionable - people have packages stolen often, but whether anything happens in that regard, I don't know. My guess is not, since packages are still many times dropped in the front lobby. I just learned of a home invasion that happened there a few months back by someone who did not live there, and you heard nothing from the managers/building.

The gym sees little to no use, as it is a t shaped area about 10 ft. wide in each section. As someone else mentioned, there is no consistent janitorial service - resulting in dog urine among numerous other things remaining stagnant on floors until, I'm guessing someone does the bare minimum to remove the evidence (if evaporation doesn't set in first). Trash service is fairly inconsistent. I do feel bad for the maintenance "team" 2/3 guys covering a 50 year old building and 176 occupancies is not enough, and they often ended up taking the trash out when valet service was MIA.

Great Space, Great Location, Great Amenities

I lived in this building for 4 years. I had a 2BR/2BA on the 6th floor with a balcony. If you live on the front side of the building like I did, your view is of the Lehigh Parkway, and what could be better than that? The space (square footage)/layout of the apartment and location is better (and cheaper) than anything else in the Allentown area - plus there’s a gym, pool, community room and easy parking (both lot and street parking - even garage parking for an additional fee if you’re interested)... . Also the leasing office and maintenance staff are absolutely wonderful. They say when you move in that they’re “renter friendly” but they truly are, and the people who work there are just awesome humans. It’s an older building so there were times when water lines, elevators, etc. needed repairs but the staff always tried to make those happen as quickly as possible. The only reason I left was because of a job that took me out of state but before I left I learned that there are a few residents that have been there for decades.I think this speaks highly to both the apartments and the staff there. Anytime I had an issue the staff responded immediately. Regency Towers isn’t the newest building in Allentown, but the apartments are lovely (and huge!), the staff is awesome, and who wouldn’t want to live right off the beauty and walking trails of the Lehigh Parkway? Highly recommend!

Going down hill

What was once the premier place to live in the area is now a tenement. Management must be accepting Section 8 because in February a new neighbor was stealing electric from the hallway. Eagerly awaiting the end of our lease.
