Nice Townhouse

I think that the complex is very peaceful and like that these are townhomes with a full basement. The area is great for walking and is not far away from stores and shops. I think the rent is extremely reasonable compared to anything else in the area and rent included water, sewage, and trash. The rooms are a really great size and you get a lot for the price. One other positive is that the rental staff and maintenance workers are very nice and fix things in a timely manner. Some negatives would... be that the heating and cooling of the unit is fairly expensive since everything is electric. One other major negative are the bugs. I get a lot of millipedes and spiders in my basement. Me and my neighbors also have issues with bees in the summer time. The complex will send someone out to spray for bugs but it only helps for a short period of time. I also think the units could be better insulated to avoid cold areas in the winter and bugs finding their way in. Overall I still like living here and would recommend it !!

Poor application process

You can tell the properties aren't the main business of the owner. The owner is a local attorney and his two assistants run the apartments for him. Their grading process pretty much makes it impossible for first time renters to get a place even if your income would make it completely possible to afford the rent as you instantly lose 10 points on their grading scale if you have no renting history, and you can only lose 15 points to be accepted mind you. The apartments looked nice with some... possible electric problems (Their model house has an outlet with a charred wall all around it) which is scary as everything in the apartment is run off electric. The utility bills are extremely high and the owners aren't even on site so it's difficult to take any concerns or questions to them.

Long Term Tenant

I've lived here for over 10 years so obviously I like it here but there are a few issues with the buildings but also lots of advantages. They are all old buildings and the heating system isn't the greatest. It's electric baseboard heat and it was expensive to heat in the winter and there are a lot of cold spots. Some of tenants are selfish and will park to block the sidewalks to the buildings and management can't really do anything to stop it. The things I like about the apartments are... that the rooms are big, they are fairly sound proof, maintenance is timely ( but not very skilled ) and the office staff are nice and most important they are very reasonably priced apartments. I have a very private apartment with a view of trees and grass. I think most of the apartments here have some kind of view of greenery. I am moving at the end of the year not because I don't like it here but because I am retiring and want to be near by family in Florida.
