Stay Away! Bad News!
I say since the new owners took over and have managed the place that there have been some mediocre improvements. They seem cheap or inexperienced and wait until something breaks or becomes a huge problem before they fix it. When they first took over they replaced all the entry doors. YEAP they look great but they went cheap and put some silly little push thing on them. Guess what, residents and even my mailman have been locked in.. yes IN the building... fire hazard?!?! It seemed the pace had... picked up and things were changing last year when a younger guy Mark? started managing the property, and then a lady was hired to help him and that was good..I think Carlene. Not sure what happened to him but it is a shame he left, many of my neighbors are leaving and they claim not having him around is a problem. No concern for us now....no communication...nothing. Last year a lot of people seemed to move in - good signs, times changing... the young guy left, some lady got hired with Carlene.. now all we see are people moving out!? Ask them about the heating bills... HAHAA joke! Check the basements ... wiring is all over the place. I got billed triple what my neighbor did and she is in larger unit!!
Forget trying to call the main office thats in New Jersey somewhere, some rude lady just talks in circles and is not professional. The ONLY reason I am still living here is because the rent is cheap and I work real close by. They have tried raising my rent a couple times .. sure... they worked with me and even offered to do some updates to my apartment. After I saw the "updates" done in my neighbors apartment.. I PASSED! The management company has a website search and find all the empty apartments here... that should say something.
If you can afford to pay a little more do yourself a favor.... look nearby there are some good places that offer an apartment lifestyle that this place does not. If you want to save money, can deal with lack luster management, poor maintenance, and a dismal place then this place will work well for you. I am hoping for work promotion in October and then I can finally afford to move out.
