The Fulton Market were originally designed in 1907 as one of “Lancaster’s twentieth-century markets” by Lancaster architect C. Emlen Urban. It was designed to be a shopping center in the Colonial Revival Style. C. Emlen Urban also designed the Southern Market. Cassius Emlen Urban was the leading architect in Lancaster from the 1890s to the 1920’s.
