Property Details
This is a beautiful corner property at the intersection of 42nd Street and Baltimore Ave, on the 3rd floor of a Victorian style house converted into a 3 apartment, with one unit on each floor. As you can see from the pictures, the rooms are spacious,... with the highlight being the cool lookout tower at the corner that you can use as a reading or study space.
The views are beautiful, overlooking both 42nd and Baltimore with tons of foliage to look at. There's also a well-kept green front yard, with 2 tables and chairs where you can sit back and relax.
We are literally 1 block from Clark Park, the awesome restaurant Clarkville, and Green Line Cafe. Right across the street is Royal Pizza and Desi Chaat, with Renata's Kitchen a few blocks away. Going a few blocks the other way (west) down Baltimore, there are places like Alif Mini brew (an awesome Ethiopian Cafe where you can hang out, drink coffee, eat food and do work), Gojjo Restaurant, and many other cool restaurants.
In terms of transportation, The 34 trolley line passes right by the house on Baltimore taking you into the city. Or you can walk 2 blocks up to 40th street station where every single green line trolley passes by going to/from the city. As such, this makes getting home by trolley easy because you can take any westbound trolley (not just the 34 line) and it will drop you at 40th street, a 2-block walk from home.
There is laundry in the basement. Heat is included, which is nice during the winter. The 2nd floor tenants have lived here for 20+ years, and make life very nice with all the care they put into helping maintain the building and the yard.
All in all, this is a great unit, in an awesome location, with awesome views, at a very competitive price, such that if you are looking to live in this area, I would not hesitate to check it out.
