You DON'T get what you pay for: overpriced, possibly worst living experience in State College

Apartments are extremely cramped and overpriced per square foot. The big benefit of this location is the UT bus line that gets you on campus within about 10-15 minutes. Problem is that line doesn't run over weekends, after 6PM, or during school breaks. Working every day, and working late, and not being a regular 9-5 student, it was impossible to benefit from this convenience 80% of my time.

What's left is dire. The only internet service available is windstream, which provides spotty service....
It's cheap, and you get less than what you pay for. I also experienced numerous power outages in my time here. The HVAC system is an inefficient nightmare. The power bill was high compared to what I have experienced since moving out a few months ahead of my lease.

Maintenance was reticent and unresponsive. They were pretty quick to deal with property problems like leaks in other apartments, but I had no such problems, just quality of life and safety ones like a broken door they never fixed. They do kind of show up without notice when needed. Conversely, the staff in the office was very professional and I didn't have a bad time working with them across my time here.

My worst problem in this complex was the community. Neighbors on all four sides of my apartment -- above, on both sides, and across the hall -- were insanely loud across all hours of the day, and the doors/walls were thin as paper. I slept in my living room for over 20 nights because I had work in the morning on those rest days for partying students, like Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and sometimes Thursdays. My bedroom was situated below a living room, and I could very clearly hear conversations going on above me into 4-5AM, and definitely could hear their TVs etc. Parties were probably the worst, and notices about losing balcony privileges were a heaping load of lies.

Positives: the glass closet doors were kinda slick, and I usually had a parking spot available.

Additional negatives: Windows lacked any insulation, and had visible gaps leading outside when closed. The tiny little wall ports windows are in are... awful. The laundry room in my building was pretty bad, without air circulation, and LITERALLY every single time I did laundry one of the washing machines broke on me; one machine remained broken for my last four months there.

Don't live here. I'll repost this review elsewhere for posterity's sake. PLEASE don't live here.
