Great Location

This is a great location, close enough to walk, bike or catch the cat bus. Recently updated pool and lounge chairs. There are 2 and 4 bedroom units. The grounds are maintained well and even though pets are not allowed there are always exceptions.

If you REALLY need a bargain...

The bottom line is, only live here if you have to. The location is convenient but the facilities are extremely lacking (the "work out room" only had three machines- at least one of which is always broken, the pool is poorly cared for and frequented by people who don't live in the complex, paint is peeling off the railings and the siding is always in some state of dissaray). The state of the apartment itself depends on the owner (some units are owned or managed by outside parties), but in my... experience is dated and lackluster. The homeowners fees are exorbitant for what you get (almost nothing... "complimentary pest spraying" is promised but never received), but Carolina Real Estate is quick to collect fees wherever possible (they will patrol the grounds and look for everything from towels on your porch to trash bags to pets in the window). I genuinely think any tenant deserves better than the way management treats them at Tillman Place. That being said, if you need to be close to campus (it's within walking distance) and have a limited budget, this may be your only option. If that is the case... Good luck to you.
