Just went and looked at one of the renovated 3 bedroom apartments and I was actually pretty impressed with the upgrades and amenities. Lizz was a lot of help and was very knowledgeable and able to answer the questions I asked about the apartment. Definitely on my short list!

Friedlam Partners just took over, and they do a great job investing in the properties to make real change for residents. Improving amenities is a big thing wherever they go and residents are happy with the results.

Pine Crest Apartments previously named St. Charles Place recently went through a major renovation including laminate wood flooring throughout the units. My unit in particular was in a good location, right in the front of the complex. Overall its a good apartment complex if you're on a budget, first apartment, or just graduated from college. Because of the location the units have a problem with palmetto bugs, but with monthly extermination provided by management it stays under control. The... bathroom is small and lacks a ventilation system. The pros are that water, trash, sewage are included in the rent, it's pet friendly with lots of grassy area, the view is nice (right across from the old Naval hospital), you can pay rent online as well as put in service request, is a gated community, community activities, military discount, preferred employer discount for 1 year and great staff.
