Poor Service

Applied for an apartment early April. Had to email and call several times to get a response. Filled out application provided security deposit, and never heard back after approval was completed. No lease, again no response to emails and calls. If this is how the treat new customers, I can only imagine how they treat existing.

dont live here

Do not live here. The corporation that bought the properties in August has ruined all community feelings this place ever had. The packaging system is completely disorganized and many of my own packages have been lost and when IU sought help from the staff I was met with a refusal for assistance because the packaging system is a third-party vendor. This also has been an issue with maintenance because the company has outsourced that to another company and refuses to take responsibility for... anything. The common areas a covered in bug and water damage. The rent was not reduced during the pandemic even though all amenities have been closed and services have been limited. Overall the entire staff and management of this property seems to have no desire to help its residents. Hopefully someone else can see this and be saved the months of hell and thousands of dollars of sketchy fees this place enacts.I love the location and would of happily stayed but the management has proven itself corrupt and ineffective.

Wonderful Experience

I moved from out of town and was looking for 1 bedroom apartments near the Vanderbilt area to start a medical program and couldn't be happier with Hayes House. Looking for an apartment from out of town can be very stressful and Hayes House made it easy. The staff (especially Jasmin) have been very friendly and accommodating. They have answered every question quickly and really want what is best for me as a tenant. My apartment is beautiful and I absolutely love the area. I would definitely... consider Hayes House if moving to Nashville again!

Ideal Place To Live!

My boyfriend and I moved in to Hayes House in June of 2017 so that he could start a program at Vanderbilt. Originally we picked Hayes House because of it's close walk to Vanderbilt's Medical campus and because we loved how clean and updated the new renovated apartments are. After living there for two months we couldn't be happier. Our apartment itself is spacious with updated kitchen and bath and tile hardwood floors. We love that the property is built like a campus with various green spaces and... buildings (like the fitness center, new lounge, business center, etc) that are all within the gated property. It's very refreshing to walk around the property and take in the fresh air compared to some of the high rise complexes we looked at that felt stuffy and sterile. I would recommend Hayes House to anyone looking to live in Hillsboro Village, we love it!

DON't rent this apartment!

1. My roommate and I are two international students at Vanderbilt University. Before we came to the US we emailed the leasing office of this property for price. They replied us with a floor plan and corresponding expenses, however, they didn't mention a fee called *International Risk Fee*, which amounts to one-month rent, at all. Moreover there was not any indication about whether the *International Risk Fee* is refundable or not (we learned a lesson from this: Carefully proof-read every... document before signing! ). Then the leasing office urged us to make a decision and pay the first-month rent, manage fee, as well as the *International Risk Fee* as soon as possible. Then when we came to the US and about to signed the lease we noticed that the *International Risk Fee* which we had already paid was marked as ***NON-REFUNDABLE***. Do you think this is ridiculous? 2. On Jun, 2016 I noticed an extreme stinky smell in our apartment. Then I called the leasing office and reported it. Several days later the office replied us and said that smell was resulted from our dish washer. OMG How could the dish washer be Sooooooooooo stinky? Because the smell was too strong I had no option but searched the apartment up and down. Then guess what I found a DEAD mouse behind the oven!!! 3. BTW the electricity bill and water charges of this property were incredibly high! My roommate and I costed approximately $200 a month, where our other friends costed about $80. I have really bad impression about this property, even though it seems that they change their name from *Bell Hillsboro Village* to *Hayes House*.
