The most disgusting place in area

We have a very bad experience living here, and among them is no a/c for two weeks in July when it was 100+f’, then I was bitten by a Scorpio in my bed, then we were out of hot water on thanksgiving, they provided another apartment to take a shower but nobody checked if it works before we come and film that it’s all broken there and we have to wait until they will give us hot water again. I’ve never felt such stressed before having all this issues here

Great property, friendly staff

Lived here for a year, only leaving because I'm moving out of state. Great property and I've always gotten quick responses and help from staff. Apartment is really nice with a good sized bedroom and a big bathroom.

Neighbors are quiet and friendly. The pool and gym are both really nice. Location's great - up on a hilltop with a nice view. Close enough to downtown to be convenient, far enough away to still be peaceful.

No issues with theft/crime. Never had any bug problems. Internet is always...
reliable. Overall really liked living here.

Cockroachs, price hikes, and bad staff

5 star price for 1 star Quality. If you like cockroaches, dog pee smell, paper thin walls, sinks that collapse, maintenance requests going unfulfilled and yearly 20% price hikes, This is the place for you! Lived here for three years because moving is so expensive and fully regret it.
In that time I've: had my sink fully collapsed due to not being installed properly that they declared a non priority and let my apart partially flood, a cockroach infestation due to their dumpster becoming a...
landfill ( that you have to pay $30 a month for) then without treating it, telling me Its taken care of. (I ended up having to personally treat the cockroach infestation in my apartment, even though you have to pay a monthly fee for "pest treatment"), not had enough water pressure to even wash hair, and have them refuse to fix it.
They didn't plan enough parking, so if you have a guest they have to remember to register every 24 hrs on the hour or they will tow (they specifically target minorities with this policy btw)
They'll sell you on the view and the pool, but only their office has the view( it's closed 90% of the time) and the pool is always "down for repairs"
After all this on Thanksgiving they sent me a notice they are raising the prices by 20%. I dropped by the office and politely asked for the reason: new amenities or renovations. I was told "no, with mortgage rates high more people are renting so we think we can make more money" when I told her I don't think I can afford the price hikes with newborn at home" she smiled and said, "great, well would you like to formally put that in writing so we can put your apt on the market sooner"

Don't rent from these horrible people.

Apartment complex fell apart after acquisition.

You'll notice on other reviews that there is a pretty distinct rating gap in the last 6 months. The reason is a company called Pinnacle bought the property. They fired 99% of the staff and cut back on maintenance. Trash piles up. Parking lot is always full; they don't enforce car limits, and they are happy to tow/write tickets for parking in the grass. Amenities policies are poorly enforced. Communication is nearly non-existent, and tenants are treated as clients and not people. The pool is... pretty when it isn't used, though.

Save some money and goto a budget complex; you will save loads of money and probably be treated better.

Excellent Apartments In Best Austin Area

I moved to Tacara at Steiner Ranch about four months ago and I must say that I am very impressed by the location, amenities, and the units themselves. Everything is brand new (in my unit no one had ever lived in it before), and the maintenance is superb in responding to resident issues. The area that surrounds Tacara is in the affluent northwest Austin suburbs, with rolling hills, terraced elegant homes, and the excellent Leander Independent School District. Many neighbors are friendly and... sociable and Tacara hosts quite a bit of "get-togethers" in the clubhouse including wine-tasting and chili cook-offs.

The views this area affords are incredible, and I have spent hours relaxing in an easy-chair watching sunsets over the lake. Quick access to FM 620 and 2222 heading into downtown Austin is a plus, although as many Austinites know, the commute is sometimes long and does get backed up a bit during rush hours. However, for many of us, the commute is worth it to live in such a beautiful and desired place. There is a hiking trail behind the complex that allows for some quiet time, and Tacara is a very pet friendly community with many dog areas placed around the property.

The A2 floorplan, which is a one-bedroom, is very spacious at 825 square feet and among the largest one-bedrooms that metro-Austin has to offer. Tacara is set back from Quinlan Park Rd and has a long entrance to the community which ensures a rather peaceful and quiet area in which to live. There are a lot of apartment complexes in the Austin area from which to choose, as this is the fastest-growing large metro area in the nation (and also ranked the number one best place to live in the country by US News) so the decision to make one your new home must be based on sound advice and research.

My advice, therefore, is to seriously consider Tacara at Steiner Ranch, but don't take my word for it, do some research on the Internet and compare and contrast the various housing options for you and your family. I bet that you will do as I and many of my neighbors have done, fall in love with the beauty of this area of the Texas Hill Country and make Tacara the start of your new life in Texas!
