Very nice apartments, have a lot of space. Staff is really friendly and helped me with all my questions on renting since it was my 1st apartment. The maintenance is really nice and friendly as well.

Great space for the price. The closets are really big. Shelves in living room are nice.

Pros: Nice space, ideal for small families. Water is included with rent and so is basic cable. Has a lot of parking and nice areas to have picnics. Very affordable. Down payment is not too high, very close to base and main free ways. Close to shopping centers and restaurants. it's ok if you don't mind an older building with a few kinks.
Cons: The building is too old, they tell you the water has lead in it so it is undrinkable. I had to buy a filter shower head because the water is so hard my... scalp was drying out. Appliances are cheap and not very durable. Only two of the stove tops work and you have to fiddle with them. They up the price on electric in the summer because it does get really hot in El Paso. By the first month and a half I had roaches, I had to buy my own posion. They only fumigate every so often. My air conditioner had malfunctioned one night and there was water poured out in the hallway. Luckily they fixed it after I hassled them about how I cannot wait till Monday without an air conditioner. They take a little while to come a fix things in the apartment. Not a pet friendly place, they charge you 500$ fine and 20$ a day if they see you have an animal in the apartment. If you are military and you have a roommate and your roommate PCS s you are allowed to break the lease with no fees but you are not allowed to move witin and 20mile radius of the apartment complex. (Which is ridiculous) overall this is more of a temporary place of residence. Our experience at Butterfield Trail has seriously outdone our expectations. This apartment complex is better than I had ever hoped. Having had to rent our place sight unseen (we're military), we are especially impressed.
Let me just sing the praises of this place: The location is perfect for accessing all areas of El Paso easily. Our neighbors are quiet, clean, and respectful. Parking is easy for us and our guests. The price is unbeatable compared to anywhere else I've seen in town. The... courtyard that our patio overlooks is beautiful - honestly the best grass and trees in El Paso! - and just to the west we have the lovely Franklin Mountains as if it were our own backyard. The management is friendly, available, and helpful. Maintenance is done in a pretty timely manner and very respectfully. And last, but certainly not least, our apartment itself is spacious, well-designed, and has plenty of storage areas, including a big, built-in bookshelf and vaulted ceilings, which I love.
