Horrible New Management (STAY AWAY!!!)

The ownership and management of this apartment changed in July 2018 and everything went downhill. They started by putting up new fences all around which ended up being pretty much the only good thing they have done till date. They started with a very incompetent property manager. Her name was Gabby and after a couple of months, replaced her with another one called Yasmin. Both very rude and disrespectful. I've been in the office and heard how they talk to prospective new tenants. Yasmin is... obviously nice to win you in as a new tenant but I guarantee you, she will be just as rude to you as she has been to several tenants just as she did to me once they get your money and sign the lease. Several tenants have left just as I did when this new management came in. The previous ownership/ management company, used to have exterminators come in at least once every two months especially in during the warm months. This new management NEVER did that and mind you, they have been managing the property a year now. One of my neighbors was complaining about bugs showing up all over just like I was experiencing. The neighbor also complained that he found a rodent in his garage for the first time two months ago after living in the unit over three years. Previous management had guys come in to mow the lawns around the grounds and also in the back yard of every unit Every Tuesday without fail. This new company have them come in probably once every six weeks. Don't be fooled by the new fences. If you are a new prospective tenant, just take a peek in one of the yards inside the fence. You will see everyone's grass hasn't been cut in a while. They don't even turn on the sprinklers. Any effort to get someone in corporate to realize what is going on is a waste of time. They have terrible customer service and never answer their phones or return emails. As of the time I was leaving, I know of 2 more neighbors who are also planning to leave as soon as their lease comes up.

New Management

Gabby, is the BEST OF THE BEST!! That I have seen throught the years I have been here. She has shown STRONG Leadership trying too implement the changes too make The Retreat a first class Apartment Hone too reside in. I lived here on the property for some time!! And have seen all of the changes made in such a short time!! Being a part of the Community for a long, I'm SUPER EXCITED!!! Too what's coming next. The Management has also shown that they are willing to listen for new ideas, I posted... EXCELLENT!! Because me and my family feels safe! The street, yards and grounds are clean. Gabby, williness too listen, to all ideas, and push it forward to Upper Management "OUTSTANDING" Change although is hard! has moved a little slow at times, continues too be good! Gabby, Staff, and New Owners. Keep of the GREAT JOB!!! I love driving home up to the gate, something too be proud of and can truthly call HOME! Not an apartement FEEL! The landscaping! looking awesome! Even at this time of the year! And too hear about new improvements! Great place to live!!! Before and getting even BETTER!

Poor communication

Very disappointing... Moved in two years ago...very friendly , welcoming management at the time. In July, 2018 there was a change in ownership and management and although I have been over to welcome and meet them, there are constantly issues and concerns. I have given them the benefit of the doubt as I know with transition, things can be difficult. The last straw is that beginning October, we are required to pay our rent online, which is very convenient but it is the ONLY method of payment... now and there is an extra charge to use the service every month. Bottom line, our only choice is to PAY EXTRA to pay our rent.... Bad business.... I was enjoying my place but would not recommend it with all of the headaches that have occurred in the last few months...

Under New Management

I’ve lived at the retreat for 4 1/2 years. This summer we got a new management team. Gabby is the new manager. Gaby has difficulty communicating effectively. The new manager immediately began writing grammatically incorrect memos written with a condescending tone. It is apparent that the manager lacks the interpersonal skills needed to deal with her present clientele. In addition to poor communication, work orders or not completed in a timely manner. For example, my cabinets were coming... off the wall in the kitchen. I had to make seven request before it was fixed. My minor work orders have not been fixed to date. I have received various excuses from Gaby only to find out that the problems were never shared with the maintenance crew. Living at The retreat has become stressful. I know of three instances where the police was called due to disgruntled residence trying to communicate with the manager. Before this summer I had a sense of comfort and community living at The Retreat. It is now time to move.

Overpriced with Deceitful Staff

If I could give zero stars, I would. I lived there for 2 years and when it was time for me to move due to family reasons, I settled on an early move-out with the office staff. The paperwork was filled out and signed almost 2 months prior to the actual move out date. It was signed by both the office staff on duty and myself.

2 months AFTER moving, I receive a collections notice in the mail for unpaid rent. I never heard from The Retreat. I never got a phone call, bill in the mail, or any form...
of notice before they sent it to collections. I had even called them myself 7-10 times in the month I moved out, with them either never returning my calls or them never mentioning the debt when I called.

I would highly advise against renting here. Not only are they overpriced, but the new staff will treat you awful and lie when you move out to get more money from you.
