Welcome to Roach Manor

Ah, Luxury Living at its finest! If you’ve ever dreamed of sharing your home with a thriving community of roaches, this is the place for you. They don’t pay rent, but they sure make themselves comfortable!

The maintenance team? Pure magicians—because they make your work orders disappear without ever lifting a finger. Need something fixed? Good luck! You’ll have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting an actual repair.

Dog lovers, rejoice! This is a pet-friendly paradise… for people...
who let their dogs poop wherever they please. Sidewalks? Lawns? Your doorstep? It’s all fair game. Management does nothing, so just consider dodging landmines your daily cardio.

Thinking about paying rent on time? Don’t stress! No matter how good of a tenant you are, they’ll jack up your rent anyway. And if you’re a day late? Get ready for a fee that could fund a small vacation.

If you’re looking for a stable, comfortable home—keep looking. But if you enjoy overpriced, poorly managed, pest-infested chaos, this is your dream rental!

The pest infestation will make your skin crawl… I cried many nights

This “new management” they keep bragging about on the tour is nothing special. The place is still poorly run. Pest control is non existence. You will find roaches the size of fists, no matter how obsessively you clean. I became obsessed with cleanliness, I scrubbed and sanitized daily but it didn’t do much to help. The baseboards are severely damaged, water from the unit next to mine managed to flood my apartment. Every time it rained I got water inside my unit. It destroyed my work equipment... when I was out of town. I told maintenance, they patched up one hole but the water still made its way into my unit from different areas. And they keep making mistakes that affect my positive rental history because they do not communicate with each other. I told them I was moving out with more than 60 days notice, yet they’re charging me late fees or month-to-month fees for an apartment I vacated weeks ago! I turned in my keys, signed the exit paperwork and everything. Oh, and half your outlets will not work, for some reason. Gotta invest in a ton of extension cords for the freedom to charge your devices in certain parts of your own home. The amenities (gym and pool) you are forced to pay for are hardly ever accessible. They padlock the gates for months at a time so no one can get in, but we are still forced to pay for them monthly. Every time I call about a problem the person on the phone blames another employee or the manager. Let me tell you, you’re better off anywhere else. I moved out a month ago and they are still giving me troubles, and the leasing office is so unreliable over the phone! They almost never pick up. This is the first negative review I’ve ever left in my life, but the residents of Houston need to know. Don’t give your money to these people. They do not care about your quality of life in any way. The “upgrades” are a facade, it’s not a renovation. It’s just white paint slapped over the old, creaky, shaky, pest filled buildings. Save yourself, friend.

Smoke Tree apts

I been living here for 2 years and it's a wonderful place to live. The staff is great. The place clean and nice. Love coming home to this community. I will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

An excellent apartment/townhome community

Recently, I moved into the Smoketree Townhome Apartments, and I truly must say that the experience as been truly amazing. The entire management team, as well as the maintenance staff are absolutely wonderful. So, Kudos to the entire Smoketree townhome apartment staff!!!!!!!!!!
