Not that I've had bad experiences in the past (I Have) this one is refreshing. Gated community with several exits. Beautiful pool. Covered parking if you want it or even garages. Yes you have to rent them as well but at least you are afforded the opportunity. What really made this place a perfect fit for me was the Asst. manager Lindsay. Friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely generous with her time. I was a few days before major surgery and ordered some groceries. The store dropped them... in boxes at the mail center. Lindsay brought my groceries to me, on the 3rd floor. May not seem like a lot to some of you, but when you can barely walk, it's a huge deal. When you come to look at these apartments, make sure you ask for Lindsay, you won't regret it.

False Charges to Collection Agency

Please be aware !!!! I was denied after giving the run around from June to August. The leasing agent ghosted me. Later I receive a letter from the collection agency stating I owe $205. This is completely false. No one has reached out to me from The Starling regarding a balance (that I do not owe) and I have not received anything in the mail

Get everything in writing

I have lived in over 13 apartments over the years and I’ve never experienced as many challenges as I did at The Starling.

Everything I was promised when I signed, they denied after. I tried and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. In almost every email or message I sent to the office, I had to follow up a second or third time to get a reply. It took 2 and 1/2 months to repair a water leak in my bathroom that flooded the walls and smelled like mold, making it unusable. After reaching out...
about the leak alone over 20 times, I finally had to send a formal letter since it still hadn't been fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Part of that was new construction, but the lack of communication made it difficult to understand the reason for the delay. I met with the property manager and had a long conversation. It ended well and I thought things would be smooth from that point forward. They voided my lease because of how long it took to make the repairs and I moved out. It was too stressful to continue living there and I couldn’t trust that any future problems would be taken care of in a timely manner.

Upon moving out, I was told specifically that I would have my deposit returned within 30-60 days. Once it wasn’t, they said that timeline is just an estimate, even though they said in person and by email that it was 30-60 days. I finally received it on day 85. Also, after confirming in writing that they would take my last water bill out of my deposit, they sent me to collections instead. If I would have received an email, a final bill in the mail, or a simple call to pay it, I would have.

Please ask lots of questions and get any offer they make in writing. Confirm everything you need to make sure it’s a smooth experience for you. This is only part of the challenges I had with miscommunication. It was really difficult from the first day.

I hope they will get to a great place and that no one else will have to go through what I did!
