Caution!

Just beginning my third year here. Too much going on to move during a pandemic, or we would. 3 managers in 2 years. It took 2 yrs to repair a window that leaked into the room in the rain. There is no "assigned" parking as advertised other than a small area and a dirt parking in the front of the complex for visitors. My 80 year old parents visited. We had to taxi them back and forth to their car. When I moved in the gym was supposedly being repaired and would be up and running any day. Two years... later, nothing. They advertise a fenced property but forget to mention the gate has not worked in at least 2 years. Never, ever worked since I have been here. The pool has been closed a solid year. They claim due to covid, yet pools all over this town, Austin and San Marcos have been open most of the year, granted some with restrictions, but at least they have been open. This includes the children's playground - locked up for a year now! Basically, I am paying for amenities that I do not have access to. Why not live in a house rather than an apartment if one is not receiving the amenities like pool, playground, safety gates, assured parking near your building? And don't expect corporate to ever return your call if it is regarding something management cannot handle. They are somewhere in Indiana. 4 attempted calls and not a peep. As someone who has been an Administrator of Assisted Living facilities, and responsible for property management - look elsewhere!

"Move-In-Ready"

Overall, my experience here has not been great. The process to get us into our apartment took weeks, and we were promised multiple move-in dates, that never came true. Finally, we were moved into an apartment that was not ready to be moved into. The floors had not been sealed (6 months later, they still have not been fixed), a hole was put in the wall from the floor installers (still not patched), but I was told that it was our fault, because we "rushed them into getting us a move-in date."... Throughout my 6 months here, I have had multiple infestations of ants and termites inside my home (currently dealing with an ant infestation downstairs AND upstairs in the master bedroom/bathroom). A majority of the window framing are all cracked, and open to the outside, including multiple windows not being able to close completely, letting all the outside air and bugs in. I had been communicating constantly with office staff, and nothing has been done. Come to find out, the manager had left her position and never mentioned any of these issues, and never turned in the work orders. I am constantly being told that work orders will be fulfilled, but nothing has come of this yet. I am not one to break a lease, but this apartment is an emberassing place to live, and I am not comfortable being in my own home.

Great Location, Great Prices

We have lived here for a year now. I am extremely glad we chose these apartments. The new owners are making quite a few nice upgrades to the property. The management staff has been friendly and professional. The maintenance staff is prompt and knowledgeable.

The location has quick and easy access to anywhere in town. The floorplan size is excellent for the prices. The layout is nice. The kitchen has plenty of space to cook with ease. It includes a decent but not huge pantry. The only...
drawback for me is the appliances(mainly the stove) are a little older, this is probably more of a personal issue due to how much I like to cook.

I would refer others here without hesitation.

Over all good place to live

The town home it's self is great price with nice size rooms, nice floors, large closets, and lots of natural light. They do try to keep the property clean but, some residents don't pick up after dogs and do throw trash around. The management does have a yard crew come in weekly to keep it looking kept. The pool is hit or miss kind of wish they could get a professional pool company to care for it since they struggle to keep it clean. They do try. They do have professional bug guys come in and... that has been helpful with keeping home bug free. We have had a few minor issues all which were fixed. It did take a while to fix things once request put in except a.c. they fixed that quickly due to it being emergency. The parking is the biggest issues there's usually a spaces they are small spaces and some people don't know how to drive staying in between lines or very large vehicles. You can get a small garage for a monthly fee.

It is a family place very quite and people are friendly but mainly keep to themselves. The wall must be thick because I never hear the neighbors who have 4 children.
I would recommend living here.

Hope this is helpful,
Chris

some good some bad

This community, like most, has its pluses and minuses. The turnover rate for staff is extremely high and this caused much delay and confusion in my application process. They have amenities such as "workout room" and "laundry room" but because they don't have any kind of security code system, it is only open during business hours (10am to 5pm) and unfortunately, most people are at work during that time. The front gate was not operational initially at move-in but has since been fixed and now... requires a code or card key to gain access. The location is great with easy access to highway. The rent is a good deal for the area and for its size as well. They aren't as luxurious as some of the newer complexes but for the savings in rent it is a trade off. Just ask your questions and be sure you are prepared to move forward before putting down any fees or deposits as you will not get it back if you change your mind.
