I love Gladstone!

I have lived at Gladstone since 2019. I have really enjoyed it and hate to leave. I am just too old and fat to climb stairs anymore. The management has always been friendly and responsive. They do not have ridiculous add-on costs like supporting the clubhouse utilities. The garage is so nice to have and you don't have to pay extra to use it! I only have one complaint. My refrigerator makes a killer sound that is quiet but punishing. The management would not just trade the fridge or something. I... wore headphones upstairs if the TV was not on.

Application process messed up

Staff made errors which they admitted to and as a result of the errors messed up the application process. Their response was a sorry and a shrug of the shoulders. Unwilling to correct their mistake. Townhouse was rented to someone else in the meantime. Communication was very poor.

Absolutely no maintenance

Do not move here. You will be waiting for months for maintenance- and you WILL need it because of how poorly they are built. SEVERAL units have had issues with flooding including ours. Almost ZERO access to maintenance. -Everything is so cheap. The laminate floors are all warped and scratched and the carpet was pulled up all over the place and not even secured to the floor in several places before we even moved in to the brand new unit. Caulk EVERYWHERE. -Our dishwasher went out and it took them... over 7 weeks to fix, and it would have been longer if I didn’t call multiple times and go in person. During the times we called, we were told (1)that a part was on the way(it wasn’t; they hadn’t even been in to our unit to see what was wrong yet), (2) we got told they came and fixed it already(they did not), and then we were told that (3) our request got closed out without being completed. We went in person to request to be moved into a different unit after our dishwasher had already been out for weeks, our basement flooded, and our water heater went out all at the same time. They told us that there were other tenants that were waiting months for maintenance and that’s why they couldn’t get to us yet. They shouldn’t be throwing up hundreds of units as fast as they possibly can with the cheapest materials if the existing tenants can’t get any maintenance!!! -We’re stuck here due to the housing market and me being in school. If you’re in the same situation, your rent will be raised hundreds of dollars over the span of a couple of years. -I have been double charged for rent and it was a hassle to get it sorted out. -They have fees and fines for anything you can think of. -Parking is a joke. There is nowhere for existing tenants to park, let alone guests. -One staff member told me they themself tried to complain about the maintenance work load and was told that they didn’t care, they just needed to increase their tenant numbers.

Its a very poorly put together place, very cheap materials used.
