Needs new management

Renters leave dog poop and do not clean up, drop their trash, put their garbage in the halls, and nothing happens. Management does not answer calls, emails go unanswered and there is always excuses about why they didn’t know there were issues. Just come see the area on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

I do not recommend living here

I have tried to give this complex the benefit of the doubt but after only three months of living at The Jane I can no longer recommend living here - ESPECIALLY FOR MILITARY FAMILIES. We have experienced nothing but frustration since moving in. When we moved in, our lease wasn’t even generated on time so that was an issue on our move-in day. Two weeks after move-in, our HVAC system broke and it took five weeks for them to fix it. Our apartment got up into the 80s and their solution to that... problem was to bring in a noisy portable unit that drove up our electricity bill until the HVAC could be fixed. Throughout that process, we had to call multiple times a day to get status updates, timelines for when it would be fixed, etc.There has also been constant construction outside our window starting at 7 am sharp, maintenance requests that go unanswered for weeks without any mention of it, MISSING MAIL/packages (the mailroom looks like a bomb went off - anyone can take people’s packages), inability to ever reach anyone by phone, etc. - the list literally keeps growing by the day. If you’re lucky enough to get ahold of someone at the front office and they mention they’ll call you back - you will literally never hear back again. Just last week I went to the office to complain about a 2-week old maintenance request, and the woman in the office told me that if the issue wasn’t a flood or a fire then it wasn’t a priority and she couldn’t tell me when it would be addressed. She was extremely rude about it, especially since management had just emailed us and told us to let them know if we had maintenance requests over 1 week old. My husband scheduled a meeting with office staff to discuss some of the issues we’ve been dealing with and they never called back about the meeting. Regardless of how serious or inconvenient a problem might be, it appears that the Jane doesn’t not take residents’ complaints seriously. It still feels like nothing is ever a priority and some of the other office staff are downright rude. The unprofessional way that things are handled here will blow your mind. I don’t know many people in the Chesterfield area but my husband and I will DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND anyone at Fort Lee consider the Jane as a place to live. Unless we notice a complete 180 in how things are handled by management and staff, we will continue to recommend military personnel look elsewhere when looking for a place to live

Be careful with the management and staff at this apartment. They’ll do anything they can to screw you over and keep your deposit.

Great experience! Beautiful apartments!

We’d been all over the area looking at houses. I was tired and disappointed. I decided to take a look at apartments. I saw one other before coming to The Jane at Moore’s Lake. . It was eh to say the least. I was hesitant about renting an apartment and then I met the marketing staff at The Jane at Moore’s lake!! Maggie gave an exceptional first impression of what it would be like to rent here. I met with her the first day and she listened intently as I described what our needs were and mapped out... apartments to show me based off of that initial conversation. She was professional, sweet and upbeat. I was impressed at how things were handled. Maggie is the best as is the whole team here!! The staff really make you feel “at home”. The apartments are stunning. The location is great! You are central to shopping, restaurants and entertainment! Most of which are walkable. The place is very dog friendly which I love. I have two shihtzus that I call my babies! If you are looking for a great place to call home than look no farther than The Jane at Moore’s lake!!

Can’t wait!!!!!!!

Today I called The Jane at Moore’s Lake to inquire because I am moving to the area soon. Mariah, the Assistant Manager, was extremely kind in the phone and super helpful! She truly made The Jane seem like the best home to reside in, in Chester! I can’t wait to come down to VA to meet her and the team in person!
