I have had my apartment for a week. I have numerous unaddressed issues and property management is non existent. There are markings all over the walls and doors that should have been repainted, the toilet doesn’t work, the garbage disposal wasn’t working, maintenance left their supplies on my deck, the drier air duct is not hooked up causing a significant fire risk, and the air filter looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in over a year. Worst of all is the inability to reach maintenance or... management. No one answers their phones or responds to voicemails. The only people who answer the phone is the leasing office and they can’t seem to assist me in any meaningful way.
Update: I finally spoke with someone from maintenance after calling nearly 30 times and they told me it will be over a week before maintenance can come out and fix any issues. Read More

Cornerstone is great place to live because it is very safe! You walk to all the restaurants in the complex and you also get the best sunset views in Lynchburg!

I was concerned that the adjustment of moving from a house to an apartment would be difficult. I did my research and chose Grace Properties because of their reputation. The Gables of Cornerstone is a wonderful community. The apartment interiors are extremely well maintained, and I'm constantly surprised by the level of care taken to maintain the property compared with other properties in the community. The interior decor is up to date, the appliances are nice, and the utilities are affordable.... The management and maintenance staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The noise level is better than expected, and the tenants are friendly and respectful. Honestly, I couldn't ask for a better apartment experience. Loved the community and would live there over again but not with Gables. Was not treated properly when there were lease issues with prior roommates when continuing the lease and signing on different roommates, management changed several times during those issues and the first person was willing to work with me on those issues and the last person to deal with me forced me into paying for problems roommates created while they got off scotch free with all their money (either pay or be evicted).

I... mean over half the joy of living somewhere is not necessarily location, but the heart ache of dealing with management. Community I'd give 4 stars for, how everything was handle as far as the lease and management goes 1 star.
