Get what you pay for.

Very good price but still not worth living like this. Infested with roaches they would send someone to spray once a month who would literally walk in spray about two corners of the living room and walk out . Me and my son continued to get sick and once I realized it was only when I turned on the heat or air conditioner I reached out to the office. They sent someone out but I couldn’t be home when they came I asked over and over what was the issue and they kept telling me “”oh we got it handled”... I asked was it mold “ oh we’re waiting on results from the lab”. I complained about my kitchen light being held up with duct tape. And my kitchen floors sunk in in certain areas. And some of my walls were separating from my ceiling but I was told it’s because of when they were built.

Serious issues

Horrible. Had to move out due to mold making us sick, management not keeping up with the properties. Just putting (bandaids over the issue), until one day everything stops working. I had complained about the bathroom tub numerous times and they chose a cheap eats way to do a temporary repair. Later a month before we actually were moving out the tub started leaking into the kitchen below, and maintenance was not able to fix it. They had to call out a separate contractor to fix it, he could not... fix it and told them it was obvious the floor was soft and had been leaking from under the tub, and he would have to special order a tub that would take two weeks. The contractor told me that directly and he had the property manager on speaker phone and I heard the whole conversation. They didn’t call us after to make arrangements for us to be able to take showers or anything for a month...didn’t apologize, just didn’t care. We had to move out early so we could have a place to shower. Not the have the nerve to ask for rent for the month we couldn’t be there. SMH, ridiculous. I haven’t even mentioned the bug problems as mentioned by other residents..obviously they had a problem, because around the time we were leaving a lot of other families were moving out too. If you can pay just a Lou more to more somewhere else, I suggest doing that.

Terrible management

Worse company I have ever rented from. We were 1 day past getting or tags updated and getting our inspection done on the vehicle. We updated tags the next day and put them on the car. We were going to get the inspection done because we just got the windshield replaced. But we left out of town for a few days to take care of some business and got back late at night and the next morning they moved the car for no reason. But they leave cars in the neighborhood that are broke down and eye sores... right in front of our door. They have not fixed our front door that was broke when we moved in, and it's been 6 months! They dont do proper monthly bug treatments on the outside of the apartment, so the bushes are infested with spiders to where is killing them and coming inside our apartment, but they won't fix it. We still have toilets that dont flush properly since we moved in, we have complained about all of these things to the office, but they dont care . We're still waiting for things to be fixed, but they tow our car after one night if sitting in our own parking space. We pay our rent on time, and they cant even fix thier responsibilities on time. I would discourage anyone from moving here.

I am sorry that you feel we don't care about our residents. We value each and every one of them and are here to help when we can. We do have parking rules for the community that each resident signs when they move in. The tow company puts a notice... on every vehicle that is in violation, telling them what the violation is and giving 72 hours to get it updated before it is towed. Unfortunately, cars that are in violation are towed at the owner's expense. We do not judge residents' vehicles; they must like their car as they own it. As long as it is not in violation of the parking rules, they can park on the property. As you were told when you moved in, we ordered a new front door for your apartment. Yes, it did take longer than expected to be delivered by the vendor, but not 6 months, as you haven't lived here for 6 months yet. As soon as it arrived, it was installed. We offer a free exterminating service for the community. All residents are informed to call the office if they need to have the apartment/outdoor area treated. The office must be notified of any work you need completed in your apartment. At this time, there are no open work orders for your apartment. I hope that your opinion of the community changes, and you will continue to call Colony home when your lease expires.
