the office people are rude and talk about the people that live there.you put a work order in and nothing get done.always excuses,so you give up.alot of hidden fees.can't wait to move, high turn over. need a new manager and new staff in the office, that would be a big improvement.

Substantial Problems
For one I would definitely say do not use the online bill pay because it'll turn around and screw up. It will say that you made the payment but your bank will not reflect it and it'll bounce back on you. Then when you try to do the responsible thing and just pay them with it cashier check, they will try to post it to your account later and hit you with a non sufficient funds which will set you back another $50 on top of it. The pool is open maybe, if you're lucky, a few times a year, it's just... something to look at. It takes a good deal of time to get any maintenance done, and the maintenance people are not exactly what I would call friendly, neither are the front office staff. The rickety wooden fence that they call security, is laughable as it is literally falling apart with planks all over the ground. They claim they have a security company, they really don't, try calling the security and it'll go just to a message and no one will come. Car break-ins happen at least a couple times a month, I've had my cars broken into 3 times now! The kid playground is actually rather dangerous and I would not recommend kids playing on it, I definitely won't let my son play on it. They have been claiming they will be getting security cameras the entire time that I have been living here yet they have never done it... The words pathological Liars comes to mind. I am highly considering not renewing a lease here, I would rather pay yet another deposit on another apartment complex then deal with the garbage here... Speaking of garbage, you should see the pile of garbage that forms in front of their dumpsters every weekend... It's amazing they don't have a major rat issue yet. Looking back, if I knew everything I knew now, I would never have moved here. I've had my car broken into, I had someone tried breaking in through my Sons window, I have seen countless crimes on the property occur, all the way to including shootings.

Property Manager at Merrill Creek responded to this review
Hello Daniel - We apologize for the confusion regarding online payments! Our Community Manager, Dezeri, went over this with you, and please feel free to contact her any time if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach Dezeri at (253)... 474-6500 or manager.merrillcreek@con…. You can also reach our corporate home office at customerservice@conam.com
Unfortunately, we have had occasional issues with vandalism of the fence you refer to. We repair it when needed, and are working towards replacement next year.
We have one trash compactor area at the community, and it was down for repairs for a few hours recently. This did cause some trash pile up, however by that afternoon we had the compactor fixed and the garbage was immediately removed. Please let our team know if you notice a problem in this area, and we will get it taken care of ASAP.
We have not had any reports from you regarding crimes at the community, nor have we had any reports of gun shots. We would advise anyone witnessing or experiencing a crime of any kind to contact law enforcement immediately.
Dezeri and her team are here to help, and we'll do all we can to make you more comfortable. Thank you for making us aware of your concerns. - ConAm Customer Service (customerservice@conam.com)

Renter beware
The apartments look decent from the outside but poor quality inside. Management keeps getting worse over the years, they removed the best manager we had and replaces her with someone who somehow manages multiple properties. Office is never open, they're closed on weekends now so if you work M-F 9-6 you can never get your packages because no-one will be here on the weekends to get them for you. If you happen to get off early they're "conviently" on the property somewhere and gone for an hour and... then leave. They keep putting more beauty bark on the grounds so there's fleas like crazy even when you have no pets. New residents don't know how to use the compactor and leave trash all over the ground. The old maintenance guy, Casey, wrote a guide to use the compactor and the office never passed it out because these new girls are too lazy to actually work. Rent keeps going up but the standards and conditions of the apartments are staying the same. Haven't been able to use the pool all summer because every time we went we were told it was closed due to chemical issues and there was no sign posted saying so. If you're okay with fixing your own apartment and having cheap carpet that comes up around the doorways and baseboards when you vacuum then this is the place for you.

Good but not
The apartment themselves are fine. They're good enough for a just married young couple like my husband and I. The staff is incredibly friendly. The problem is the other residents. We hear screaming outside all the time. There is garage everywhere. The maintenance people clean up at least once a week but doesn't last long because people are such pigs here. The pool is always getting shut down due to vandalism. (Usually glass in the pool). The people next to us are always screaming at 3 am. My... husband works with him and has spoken to him about it but hasn't stopped.and our parking spot we pay for each month is always getting taken by other people. Not to mention that it's in Lakewood. Someone's tires were stolen right off their Dodge Charger . It was parked right next to our car which is right in front of our apartment door!! Also the mail boxes keep getting broken in to daily. It's happened to us three times already. The office knows about it and says they are installing camera around the complex but we will see. Definitely not renewing our lease specifically because of the other residents and crime,
