Wish We Didn’t Have To Go

From the beginning, our experience with Motif exceeded our expectations. The leasing agent was so friendly, and always remembered our names and previous interactions. Maintenance team is quick to help out and respond. There is really nothing else we could have asked for—such a pleasant experience all around.

Great place to live!

I’ve nothing but positive experiences since I decided to live here over a year ago. Dee Dee, the property manager has been nothing short of welcoming and amazing and Jerry, the maintenance man, has taken care of everything that I’ve needed in a timely manner. The location has about half covered and half uncovered parking spots. Uncovered are all free and I’ve never had to park in the street, I come home very late at night from work sometimes and there’s always space. The covered parking... spots are very reasonably priced. Needless to say, I will continue living here for the foreseeable future.

You will not sleep here

EXTREMELY NOISY YOU WILL NOT SLEEP I'm by far not a light sleeper but you will hear EVERY vehicle pass by
-Don't open your window because the noise gets louder therefore, you will be very hot in the summer, and you will smell the exhaust from the cars
-Parking: there are only few spots that are 'free' (ie uncovered) that you will be able to find and you will end up on the street, or having to pay for overly priced parking
-Deliveries: Got a package stolen
-Garbage: people put garbage in my...

Quality/Construction: Very cheap.
-Cabinets/drawers have no slow stops everything slams making a horrific noise and I have caught my fingers a few times, my daughter is older so she knows to be careful therefore, parents with younger child be ware their tiny fingers will get hurt bad!
-Water pressure: slim to none
-Fixtures: Bathtub faucet fell off the wall, screens missing on windows
-Climate: Very difficult to control the climate. Wall heaters are highly inefficient and unsafe. They will run all day even if set at 60. Summers you will roast, and I'm a lover of 90 degree weather
-Paint: easily chips and gets dirty, hard to clean

Facilities/Maintenance: Many items go unattended
-Elevator was out for 3 days before being fixed
-TV doesn't work in fitness area
-I've had maintenance come twice to my place right after a fire alarm 'check' because the batteries in the fire alarm were going out

Cost: WAY WAY OVERPRICED
-Monthly rent ridiculously high for a place where you cannot enjoy, and quality lacks
-Parking fee: if you want to have a spot
-VIP GARBAGE fee: Yes, I said it correctly VIP Garbage. When I first signed my lease I was told that i could opt out of the $80 VIP Garbage fee and take my garbage down to the dumpster. That was not the case, upon my first rent bill I was charged this VIP garbage service even though I was taking my garbage down. Apparently this "VIP Garbage" is not an option you have to pay it and place your garbage out your door, and there is no recycling bins.
-Electricity: high because you have unsafe inefficient wall heaters

I have asked the management team due to the above reasons if they would show my apartment and rent it out before my lease is up without penalizing me. They told me that since i would be breaking my lease that I would still be penalized. I even offered to move out leaving an empty apartment to show but still pay my rent.

I will make sure to post this on every review site I can find, its HIGHLY UNHEALTHY to live here.

Management is really BAD!

Hi! Writing this just to share my horrible experience at this place. At first, I got attracted because is new, modern and "nice" finishings, so I didn't mind paying a couple hundreds bucks more for that. But only a few months down the road you'll experience walls getting cracked, weak water pressure and doors falling. Seriously, looks like I'm joking but it happened. The management is really BAD. Office opens only a few days of the week (with 2 hour lunch time) and take FOREVER to get stuff done... . And the extremely ARROGANT manager really makes you feel UNWELCOME! Too bad cause I had great expectations for a place I wanted as a home.
