I visited this place before the COVID shut down...office was closed saying they will be back at 1pm...it was 2pm. I've called ...no one pickes up.
I also submitted an inquiry online, no response. Just an automated email saying they will get back to me.
It's been 6 months.

Great place to call home.
We have lived here 7 months and so far it has been a wonderful place to live. The people in the office are super sweet and always on top of their game. Maintenance is fast and efficent. The neighborhood is safe and centerally located for quick access to the freeway and stores. Would reccommed these apartments to anyone.

Deer Creek Apartments should be called Deer Creek over priced storage facility. They will tell you several times that they are a private company so they can make their own policies and their policy is that absolutely no personal noise is to leave your apartment at any time. It doesn't matter if it's in the middle of the day. It doesn't matter if the city of Puyallup and Pierce County observe daylight hours. Deer Creek and apparently all Avenue 5 LLC Residential properties do not allow any... personal noise to leave your apartment at any time. So if you accidentally drop something you get a lease violation. If another resident ever hears your voice then you get a lease violation. If your TV can be heard by anyone at any time then you get a lease violation. Their doors are very heavy and shut on their own, but if this bothers another resident then you get a lease violation. If your children make noise then you get a lease violation. The Property Manager pins resident against resident and picks a side. She's very gullible, naive, and easily manipulated. She will believe any lie a resident tells her with absolutely no proof. Then you will be asked "nicely" to leave before they get the chance to evict you so you don't really have a choice in the matter. Then they will gouge you with ridiculous move out charges that don't even apply to any issues the apartment ever had just to screw you out of your money. The residents here are the worst neighbors you will ever have. They will make up lies about you and harass you on a daily basis from the moment you move in just because you had the audacity to make a noise in your own apartment that you pay for. Even when you're trying to move out they will come and bang on your door in a threatening manner. The property manger will not care about your safety in that kind of situation and will side with the residents that are harassing and threatening you and making up lies about you because you're the one moving out. Unless you are looking for a place to store and display your belongings but never use them then DO NOT even consider moving to Deer Creek or any other Avenue 5 LLC Residential property.

Read before you rent
Do not rent from Deer Creek!! If I could give less than 1 star I would. I usually don't take the time to leave reviews unless they are really good, and most apartments have bad ratings for management but with how the experience was for us I had to take the time. We only lived at the property for an 8 month lease, and while they have nice amenities the many other factors don't make it worth living here.
First off, the "renovated" apartments are not renovated. Everything simply has a coat of... paint over the old. We even found duct tape holding one of the kitchen drawers together on the inside with paint over that.
That wasn't the worst part, however. I could live with all of that if it weren't for the management. Normally I never have to deal with them since you normally just pay your rent on time and your good but the hassle was never ending. 1. Our rent was incorrect all 8 months we lived there with charges for renters insurance even though I was under compliance and had sent and resent/dropped of hard copies of all paperwork 6 times. I was told it would be taken care of, but never was so I had to make a stop in every month. 2. We were given wrong packages or had ours lost. 3. The property manager is non-existent and will never return calls/emails or set up appointments, which added to the difficulty of resolving the extra charges issue. 4. They are constantly needing to get into your apartment for something making it difficult on your day to day work schedule.
Upon move out I thought i would finally be done with it all but then came the deposit issues. We paid $750 in deposits ($250 which was non-refundable) and upon move in found many items that needed to be fixed or touched up but the office never created the work order to do so as they said they would, and upon move out after cleaning the apartment extremely thoroughly for about 4 hours, were charge over $500 in cleaning fees out of our deposits. We even received a notification that the deposits "weren't sufficient to cover everything" and tried to charge an extra $150 on top of that.
To top it all off, even with the security lighting, "security" entrance gate, and their "security service", my car was broken into the last week of living there. So save yourself the headache and don't rent from Deer Creek.
