TL;DR Unacceptable Privacy Breach and Mismanagement at Talisman Apartments. Live Elsewhere. Also, they are trying to silence me by getting me to sign a clause that states I cannot post negative reviews anywhere.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding the repeated negligence and disregard for tenant safety and privacy at Talisman Apartments. Most recently, my privacy was grossly violated when your staff disclosed my unit number to a Facebook Marketplace buyer... on November 25, 2024, without my explicit consent.

To protect my privacy, I had arranged to meet this buyer in the lobby for the transaction. However, despite my precautions, this individual knocked on my unit door—a detail I had never shared. Upon investigation, I discovered that your staff had provided this private information, an action that caused me severe emotional distress and significant anxiety about my safety within my own home.

This blatant breach of tenant confidentiality is not only a serious violation of trust but also a potential legal liability for your company. Despite raising my concerns, management has failed to take accountability. The only response I received was an email denying the release of personal information, refusing compensation, and offering early lease termination as a solution.

While the option to terminate my lease without fees is appreciated, it fails to address the fundamental issue at hand: your management’s inability to maintain basic tenant privacy and safety. Early termination would impose financial burdens, create urgency to find a new home, and exacerbate an already distressing situation. It is both unfair and unreasonable to expect tenants to bear the consequences of your staff’s shortcomings.

This is not the first time I have experienced serious issues at Talisman Apartments. Another time an employee disregarded the community leash policy, allowing their boxer dog to attack my leashed cat, causing physical and emotional harm to both of us. No action was taken.

Talisman Apartments may offer aesthetically pleasing facilities, but the management's lack of consideration, accountability, and responsiveness creates an unsafe and stressful living environment. These ongoing issues demonstrate a pattern of negligence and disregard for tenant well-being that has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.

Willowick took over the beginning of 2022. Since then maintenance has gone downhill. For example, the "secured" parking garage gate has been broken for over 2 months. When asked if they would discount parking while it is in disrepair, they said they do not have to offer a discount. Cars have been broken into.

The hallways and stairs are getting dirtier, doors are broken so they cannot lock.

I imagine it is more profitable to do the minimum legally required, rather than be responsive.
