Okay, but could be better. (Lived on the top floor)
This apartment complex is an eight unit building with four bedrooms per unit. Two bedrooms are completely identical in size and shape, and even have a private bathroom (shower). The other two bedrooms are vastly different. There is more of a master bedroom, and a den for the other. The master bedroom room is slightly larger than the identical bedrooms, and if you include sq ft of the identical bedroom bath, it would be roughly the same size. There is a bathroom (tub) attached to the master... bedroom, which also opens to the hallway. As for the den, it is roughly more than half the size of the identical bedrooms. The den can fit a full sized bed and a small desk along the wall. With that in mind, the door to the room cannot be opened halfway, and hits the bed.
Besides the bedrooms, there is a small kitchen, that can at most hold two people in it. It has lots of storage space. The kitchen opens up into a living room area that decently sized. Though it does have an awkward alcove where you can store items.
In the apartment, all the windows are normally openable (sliding). I say normally, because the kitchen window was sealed for my apartment, and the bathroom windows didn't keep themselves open.
As for parking, there is little-no parking on the street, as the area is dense. The apartment complex does offer parking, though it is $70/mo, and very limited. I would recommend not having a vehicle, and busing or walking, if possible. There are busing options available nearby, and numerous shops and restaurants which doesn't make it cumbersome to walk around the U-Dist.
As for management, it is not stellar. Their office deals with numerous apartment complexes, and have a lot of different people running the office during the day. If you make a work order over the phone, you may have to call numerous times, due to a message not getting passed. Also, there is only one maintenance man for all the complexes, so it can take awhile before your work order to complete.
My apartment after living there for 5-6 months, we got bugs. Four different types, including the German Cockroach. Now we are not messy people, I and my roommates have lived in an eight person house for two years prior, and it never got bugs of any sort. We called the office and they sent in an exterminator within the week. We found out that since under the fridge was not cleaned, it attracted the bugs. After that, the bugs did not return (thankfully). But it should have not happened in the first place.
