Having owned this apartment complex for 40 years (and also living here as well) I run it a bit differently than other landlords do and find it makes for better and happier residents.
Here is the "Manor Vale Manifesto" which describes who we are and... what we do, and also what we expect from you:
1. We are in the business of providing a community where Residents can live in safety, harmony, privacy, pride and peace.
2. We are not a corporation, but people who live and work together to make things better for each of us.
3. We acknowledge that Residents are important in order to do an effective job and that favorable expectations rely on efforts from everyone.
4. We are unique and have advantages for making improvements to our residences and community. We encourage creativity and know things need to be done right.
5. We are also unique in that we encourage Residents to improve their lifestyles by practicing virtues that reflect truth, beauty and goodness in order to make us better Residents of the larger community of Spokane Valley.
6. We are against destructive lifestyles and practices in general. We don't allow abusive residents or addictive drugs and cooperate with police to keep crime out. We are 420 friendly and acknowledge the beneficial uses of medical cannabis.
7. We believe the Golden Rule is the best policy.
