Staff is friendly, but bare minimum is done for this place. It’s great if you don’t have kids. The “playground” is a slide and stairs, in the middle of peoples back yards. I mean that, you’re looking into everyone’s apartments and they are 15 steps away, bottom line is it’s not a playground or somewhere you will be taking your kids. Homeless camp right outside your window we watch them daily, and get a free firework show from them every night. Neighbors are LOUD, dog poop everywhere, TRASH... everywhere. They apartment does try and keep up with the mess but the tenants are just horrible. Again great if you don’t have kids because the apartments inside aren’t horrible, especially for 2 people size is great. Just not the safest or cleanest area. It’s also shared utilities. No set rate, that also sucks but you pay less if it’s just two people so that’s a bonus.

Come with minimum expectations
I have currently lived here for almost 3 years. They do not maintain the property. Dog poop everywhere and the baggie stations are unreliable for keeping full. When it snows, no work whatsoever for a few days then effort is made. I had a sprinkler head bust off and spray inside my living room. Flooded 3 times, I finally put a stump on top of the sprinkler head to stop it from flooding after complaining multiple times to the management. I cannot count how many times they have made errors on our... lease and we have had to resign multiple times. The pool and gym are only open during office hours because people and their children cannot be controlled. There are always cops here. I miss my old upstairs neighbors, the new ones moved in, their washer broke and flooded into my apartment. I had fans and damage in my apartment for four days. If you want anything repaired prepare to wait months or years and to repeatedly check up on it. I have had maintenance make messes in my apartment and not clean it up. Recently, I referred someone there (not because I recommended it but because they needed somewhere inexpensive and quick) and received the most vague and noncommittal answer possible about when I would receive it. I could keep going but if this didn't warn you off so far then you deserve the torment.

They say... don't judge a book by its cover...
Sienna Park Apartments is located in Parkland, south of Tacoma. It's located right off of WA-512 and Interstate 5. Upon moving from Hawaii in 2016, I was living in Seattle for a few months.. it seemed rent was just getting higher and the city over populated. When work brought me to Tacoma, I thought it made much more sense to move there. After looking at over a dozen apartments we decided upon one in Lakewood -- it was gated, had a pool, nice place we thought. However, the management sucked and... took way to long to get us an application approval. Then we figured "hey, lets check out this place called Sienna Apartments.. it has horrible reviews online, but lets see for ourselves.." That evening we met with Eli, around 430pm. He showed us a unit and went into great detail about the location, recommendations, inside details on getting to UW Tacoma without having to deal with I5 morning traffic and more. He helped us fill out the application and a little after 6pm (keep in mind he finished his shift at 6) we got an approval and left .. no only relived but happy. We've been here about 2 months and are beyond satisfied. The maintenance team is great, neighbors are quiet and friendly and management is superb. Of course, we had some issues upon move in such as the disposal not working, a few loose outlets, etc., but within a week all was fixed and when a new issue occurred it was fixed right away, no questions asked. Based on my knowledge, the past reviews are from a poor manager, and now they just hired a new gal Christine (she's a sweetheart.) I have faith that Sienna Park is just getting started and is in for greatness. As long as they keep this solid staff they have I believe this will be a top resident community for Tacoma. It's a great location, very spacious units and more. I couldn't be happier! As I said.. don't judge a book by its cover.. check out Sienna Park for yourself and see what you have to say. I say it's a risk worth taking.
