I have lived at Heatherwood for 5 years. The first 3 years were great! About two years ago we got a new manager and the constant harassment and neglect began. For some reason nobody had any parking issues the first 3 years I was here. When I moved in i was given a garage and designated numbered parking spot in the lot. New manager came in and took away everyone's designated spot and its been a nightmare ever since. Every single month we receive some sort of notice about the new parking policies.... We also have to fill out a form over and over about what cars we own. This month we all got a notice telling us our cars will be towed at managers discretion. Huh? Why? I've never had an issue with parking and neither have any of my neighbors. The manager had signs made and made two designated parking spots for her and her boyfriend. The rest of us live in fear watching the tow trucks circle the parking lots all day. It's insane. Any positive review written after 2020 is the manager writing it. This place is literally falling apart. Appliances are 20+ years old. Takes weeks for maintenance to show up. My front door knob broke off in my hand and was replaced by with an interior type door knob. There is no security anymore. Every single night cars are stolen or broken into. Run from this place. Management here is so bad. Realvest is the company that owns/manages it and we have complained to them about this new manager and they don't care.

We’re sorry that you are unhappy about the recent parking inquiries at Heatherwood, but parking spaces are at a premium and each apartment home has one designated carport or garage space and are allowed only 2 vehicles per unit. Since there seems to... be many unauthorized vehicles on the property, the management is trying to determine which vehicles are registered and which are not. The tow trucks recently on the property were there to move vehicles for a tree removal project – please know that we do not tow or move vehicles unless they are unauthorized or it is absolutely necessary. The security service patrols the property daily. If you see anything of concern, please call the office or security company so the issue can be resolved. Unfortunately crime is up all over Vancouver and we are doing the best we can to keep the property safe. Work orders are addressed based on urgency (i.e. leaks, safety hazards are a higher priority) and order received. If you have a maintenance issue that needs to be addressed right away, please submit a work order request at the office or via the online portal so we can get to it as soon as possible. All the HYPE and Top place to Live in 2021 Vancouver, WA
I have lived all over America in all regions (PNW, South, Midwest and East coast) and Heatherwood has by far been the best experience. There has been a change in management and since then, the other less than 4-star reviews I believe are obsolete and do not paint a true picture of the current management, because since 2020 it has been EXEMPLARY. I am right by the office and have no issue with anyone on property smoking, nor do I ever see anyone smoking at the office as I am there frequently to... check mail and go to the gym. Additionally, anytime I request maintenance it is either done the same day or within 24 hours. If they do not have the part, they do let you know and ALWAYS follow up and are polite and courteous. Speaking of polite, the front office is always welcoming and very personable. They are willing to always help in any way they can and really care about their residents' welfare. They are polite to the kids and have snacks for them and even for furry friends. Heatherwood is very reasonable in price and very spacious. I honestly have enjoyed my experience from viewing, application, move-in and current living. No need to doubt, this is your best choice in the area for price, location and convenience. Also, I truly appreciate Heatherwood for keeping up the grounds and keeping the community fun and safe. Lastly, there is nightly security that is out at night securing the property. Again, I reiterate, if Heatherwood is on your radar or list I do highly recommend.

It was fantastic ... at first
Well our time here at Heatherwood has finally come to an end. After three years we have decided to look elsewhere due to several factors. Without going into detail, I will say that in the beginning this was a wonderful community and the location is convenient. We live directly across from the main office and although this is a smoke free community the staff will stand outside and smoke cigarettes while enforcing the no smoking rule on residents. That’s just one of many annoyances my wife and I... have endured these last 6 months. Goodbye Heatherwood!

Worth the Money
I viewed a model unit today. All the pictures are accurate, the property and apartment were beautiful, and the location is great! Would be a lovely place to call home. Love the indoor pool; heard they have a hot tub as well. Thanks for the showing.

Please train your current staff members
I would like a bit of respect from the staff when addressing concerns or requesting maintenance orders. Earlier in the year the owners ran off the only competent office team that I've seen in my 7 years of living here at Heatherwood and ushered in an annoying, non personable pair of think-they -know it alls. Maintenance is ok

I am so sorry that you felt that you were disrespected by the Management Staff at Heatherwood. We in no way think we know everything and am sorry that you perceived it in that way. In fact we are just trying to sort out all of the problems, including... but not limited to lack of proper legal documents concerning residents, property and safety practices that had became the norm among tenants and were not corrected by the prior "competent" office team. Unfortunately, coming in and enforcing rules that should have been common sense has made us unpopular amongst those residents that benefited from this lack of supervision. As far as your being unhappy that is the furthest thing that we want to have happen and invite you to come into the Office during business hours and we can review your options.
