12 N Butler Review

I've been living here for a couple years now with my giant fluffy dog, and I absolutely love it! This building is pet friendly, has an amazing location, is clean and secure, has convenient underground parking, and the lease office is super friendly! The rooms are modern and sharp looking. The walls are thick and I rarely hear my neighbors. I also like that I only pay for electricity and it's pretty cheap to keep this place heated/cooled. I just signed the lease for another year!

Washington Plaza review

This review is for one of Butler Plaza's locations - Washington Plaza:

I would say this building is good to live in if you’re a student, but if you’re out in the professional world, you might want to pick somewhere else to live.

It’s pretty noisy here. I can hear all of my neighbors’ conversations when they talk at a normal volume, I can hear them sneeze, I can hear their TV, and so on. I can also hear music playing even if it’s not from the unit next to me. So when someone has a party, I can...
hear everything which is disturbing because it’ll go all night. Also, I can hear every time someone drops weights in the gym which is 3 floors below. And the smells in the hallway are sometimes repulsive, they often smell like marijuana.

I would give the quality of the apartment 3 stars. The cabinets and drawers are flimsy and loud. The closet doors are also flimsy, loud, and hard to open/close. I can hear my neighbors open/close their closet doors.

There are good things about this apartment. There is plenty of natural light. The floors and the kitchen are a good color/style. There is plenty of cabinet space. The balcony is a nice addition. The building is in a great location. Also, management is very responsive and helpful.

When I had a maintenance issue, I submitted a request, and maintenance showed up the next day unannounced. They didn’t call me to see when I’d be home, they just showed up. They fixed the issue, but showing up unannounced feels unsafe to me.

Location is Key!

One of the best parts about this property is the location - love being a few blocks away from the capitol building, near many popular restaurants, bars, coffee shops and concert venues. Management is very responsive to maintenance requests, and I appreciate all the modern renovations they have done as of late - helps up-level the living experience. Having capital fitness next door is a plus, too!
