Horrible place

This place is terrible- you think you're getting a decent rate for rent, but then you get your first water bill that's over $200 & you realize you made a huge mistake moving here. That's why they have so many apartments ready for move in right away. People keep getting evicted & just leaving on their own

No parking

I've been living here for half a year, now.

A shipping container "for the contractor" takes up 3 spaces in an already full lot. Residents don't have anywhere to park and it makes the community very sour toward interacting with their neighbors if you are in a multi vehicle home. If you arrive after 2 pm there is little chance of getting an open parking spot. People wait for someone to leave an uncovered spot. People park in the fire lane. Having assigned parking is nonsense when they don't...
provide for their residents. I suggest to just make uncovered and covered parking all first come first serve and give stickers or mirror tags that notate the vehicle belongs to a leasee here. A contractor should have to use your property for storage unless they are cutting all corners possible to take as much profit for themsleves.

Every unit has roaches and other bugs. Everyone complains about electrical issues. The A/C goes out unexpectedly. The water is regularly shut off with little to no notice. The lights and fans have remotes that control you & your neighbors units thus making them turn on, off, and change speed unexpectedly. People have lied about having dogs and they don't enforce their own policy. Drug abuse is rampant on the grounds and administration could easily evict about 1/2 of the renters here for violating their leases.

The office ignores complaints for improvement. They have no sympathy for the residents problems and give hollow apologies with no effort to fix it or proposal of a solutions. If you plan on respond to this review dont bother unless you're sharing that you're changing things here. After reading the responses to other negative reviews I've figured out that the Robinson Group which manages Tides on Thomas does not care for the quality of living of the renters here.

I cannot wait to leave. They've towed my car because I have nowhere to park and have to park "illegally" now I'm out over $100 any time THEY dont provide for us. There are nicer communities for significantly less / month with significantly more space / unit very near.

Don’t come here

The tides on Thomas is a place that looks really nice in pictures but there’s many issues not seen when people come for the first time. Once you start living here you’ll realize this place is a mistake.
The office does not care about any of the work the contractors do here and if you have any issues in your apartment good luck getting them to fix it !!
There is no parking available if you own more than one vehicle and they have a huge container blocking 3 guest parking spots.
The pool is a...
mess and falling apart.
Defective fans keep turning the light on in the middle of the night and the office refuses to replace them.

Absolutely terrible!

If you can, rent somewhere else.
The units have been remodeled and appliances are new but the service you get from the office employees is terrible. I've had to submit multiple maintenance request for water leaks and I've only lived here for 2 months. They assign one parking space per unit and there is almost no extra parking for guests. If someone parks in your space, you cannot have that vehicle towed, you're expected to find parking elsewhere. The water gets shut off constantly. The units...
are small for the amount they charge for rent.

Cont:
I've lived here for about 8 months now and it has not gotten better. It feels like I'm having to submit a maintenance request for something different almost once a month. The requests are submitted through the website and they update the status once the repairs are made. On two different occasions they filed my request "complete" with no actual repairs done. I had to resubmit my request for them to be completed. The office employees talk to you in a condescending tone and typically have no idea what's going on until you bring them up to speed eventhough they have access to he maintenance request themselves. The most recent issue, the air conditioner in all the units on the west side building are not working. The entire heating/cooling system is on a switch that is controlled by them. They announce when the ac or the heater will be switched on. The ac has not worked in my unit since they announced that it was switched on. I've been without ac for almost an entire month with no estimated time of repair, per the office employees.

Again, if you can, rent somewhere else.
