Do not live here

I would give it 0 stars if I could but that was not an option. Where do I begin? My family and I have been living in these townhouses for 15 years and never had a problem until the new management took over. Immediately they increased our rent $700 a month and 5 years later we are now paying $1000 more a month. All of the original tenants moved out, or should I say were forced out, due to the higher rent that they couldn't afford anymore and all of the units were remodeled. I asked our management... if we can get our unit remodeled since were paying the same as all of our neighbors and they refused. But, surprisingly, this is not the problem. In December, a new family moved in directly next door and they are LOUD! After a couple weeks of them waking us up every morning and every night, I emailed the manager and nothing was done. In January my son, who is severely disabled had surgery. The next day we were at home and he was trying to recover and rest and the neighbors kept waking him up out of dead sleep. The kids room is right next to ours and they scream and jump and throw basketballs against the wall and jump on the bed and then crash to the floor and this goes on for hours. I emailed the manager and said my son just had surgery and the neighbors are loud and he can't rest can you please ask them to keep it down. He reply was "they are not violating their lease, they have 3 kids". Ok then. Fast forward to covid and were working from home and my son is stuck in the house and I'm afraid to go anywhere because I'm so afraid he will catch whatever is going around. Last Monday the neighbors were literally tearing up that house from 9am - 6PM. They are so loud and my son startles very easily so everytime he hears a loud crash, he jumps out of his skin and you can just hear him sucking in his breath. A couple times this has happened when I was feeding him and he almost choked on his food. The next day I went next door and asked the lady to please keep her kids quiet. Of course she tried to use the "I have 3 kids excuse" and I said everyone who has lived here as had kids and I have never heard noise like this. It was a little quieter for a few days and then Monday night at 10pm they woke my son up again out of a dead sleep. Went to management again and got the same sing and dance. So that is my review take my advice and do not rent from this company. We will be moving out as soon as it's safe to go outside.
