The units have many installation errors: my unit's bathroom can't be locked. Smoke detector gave tons of false alarm. Bedroom window blind is basically useless and they don't allow installation of room darkening film to mitigate that.
The front gates are there to create the maximum inconvenience for the renters and the minimum security against actual burglars. The management don't give out access code so that doordash and delivery drivers can get in. (So you have to fetch them yourself) And yet... these gates are randomly kept open during the days and there are other entrances into the complex that are constantly unlocked. (e.g. the disabled elevator doesn't require key, the pedestrian entrances to this apartment can be unlocked by reaching your hand to the door handle in the back)
Parking is extremely difficult as the lots are fully packed.
Lastly, the management charges outrageous amount for moving out. My unit was professionally cleaned and they still have the audacity to charge $240 for it. The cheap carpet they use have pH indicator in it and the pH stain showed up after we moved out. So instead of properly removing it by neutralizing the pH, they chose to replace the carpet and charging us for it.

Very nice apartment! Happy to choose Irvine again.
Lived here for 2 years, and everything is good. Close to many POIs, including Apple Park, 99 Ranch, 280, tons of restaurants… Moving out because I want to fire my roommates, and a little far from my office. Moving to another Irvine Company’s property.
