I recently moved into one of the units here at IMT and have only been here for just a little over a month and a half. So far, so good. The application and move in process was smooth and went extremely well from start to finish.
The staff is always extremely helpful and easy to reach if anything is needed. When I first inquired about the place, Kyle showed me around and provided me with a lot of good information that I found helpful. He really took the time to make sure all of my questions were... answered and all of my immediate needs were met.
The neighborhood is awesome and animal friendly, the neighbors I have encountered seem like really nice people, and location of the complex is in the heart of downtown Long Beach, CA. The complex is in walking distance of many different types of eateries, coffee shops, and public transportation. I have my own vehicle but only really need it for work and/or grocery shopping since everything else is just a walk or train ride away.
Speaking of vehicles, parking is assigned to residents so you don’t have to worry about that. Your vehicle is parked in a secured residential garage that can only be vehicle accessed using a fob, so it should be pretty safe.
Overall, I am satisfied with my experience so far. I will check back in after a few months just to follow up with an update.

Luxurious
I have recently relocated to this complex from Glendora's Avalon apartments. The move was a smooth transition. Samantha, the leasing representative expressed warm and positive vibes during this process. She assisted with this complex's information and ensured that all of my concerns are met. The second leasing associate was Jen - who helped us with setting up our Luxor account, car parking, and replacement of keys. One of their maintenance staff - Kenyia, I believe - was very courteous and... efficient when she was replacing a faulty light socket in our unit. The final person who assisted with this smooth transition was the property manager - Frank. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Frank. He helped us to secure a parking spot for our Uhaul. (Downtown parking... is tough during the peak hours). He was courteous to lend us a dolly since the one we rented from Uhaul was broken. During the move, Frank presented us with a welcoming gift (which consisted with many goodies for the apartment and restaurants around here!!!), showed us around, assisted us on setting up our accounts, explained the rules and regulations, and safety of this complex. He is a very nice and humble man!! These four staffs: Samantha, Jen, Kenyia, and Frank made us feel good and welcomed to be here during this transition. They are definitely the people that I can rely on should anything occurs.
Complex: I am currently residing in their B1 - 2 br 2 bath unit. Inside is marvelously spacious! There were new flooring installed and the cabinets definitely fits my vibe colors! Bathroom, kitchen, and living room meets my standards. Overall, the feng shui of this space flows very well! The resident are pleasantly nice compared to my other apartment complex (where they don't think you even exist). Here, the resident would send their salutations daily. It was a bit of a surprised to me to be honest.. Next note, the complex's amenities are absolute COOL and are privately spaced out in their own respectable locations! In my previous complexes, amenities are usually coupled in the same location which can cause the area to get congested should a party occur. Here, I can enjoy the amenities without being bothered. One of the bestest thing I enjoyed about this place is that there are PLANTS everywhere! Plant arches, bamboo tress, palm tress, figs, portas plants, etc! Nature is key to my mental well-being and life!

Lovely space and full of amenities
Love the place I am staying in, really great floor plan and material selection for a fresh look! Frank, Jenniefer, Sam, and Kenyia were all wonderful staff, they were on top of everything to make sure our stay is good as it can be! Any problems we had, it was taken care of the day of. There are so many great amenities in this apartment complex, also the maintenance of this place is very well kept.

Beware
This place was great when Lyon ran it. IMT took over, and it’s been downhill since.
1) Fire alarms go off constantly and chronically. All hours of the day and night. 2) Elevator is always breaking down 3) Garage doors break down multiple times per month. 4) Pool and Jacuzzi closed for months 5) Game room closed for months 6) Roaches 7) Questionable ethics (guest parking, fees) 8) Excuses and justifications, no matter how many tenants complain, get upset and move out 9) Not in the office. ... Two hour lunch breaks. Don’t open on time. 10) Grills don’t work 11) Gym stinks
If you can afford to live here, please choose another location in downtown Long Beach for around the same price. You are paying a premium - you should receive a premium living experience.

Hi Gabby, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your experience with IMT Gallery 421 has not been a positive one. We do our best to quickly respond to issues and concerns and schedule repairs to limit... the inconvenience to our residents. We follow up with our vendors several times each day when we are awaiting repair schedules. We have also implemented preventative measures to reduce the occurrences of the fire alarms going off and made additional repairs to the residential gates in an effort to improve their efficiency. With regards to the pool renovation, we made very strong efforts to keep our residents informed of the closure which took place on September 4th and that notification was sent out at the beginning of July. Our goal was to keep it available for our residents to enjoy during the majority of the summer so we delayed our renovations. I would also like to inform you that IMT associates are allotted a one-hour lunch break. However, anytime all associates step out of the office, we must close the office and we change the time on the sign to indicate when someone should be back in the office. We often have multiple people coming in to look at apartments on their lunch breaks from work and we are out on the community with them showing the community. Resident files and other important documents are inside our office so we must protect that information if everyone needs to step out within the community.
