Constant roach problems and most of the appliances have broken down multiple times, including the AC during a heat wave. Management is very cold and non-caring about issues important to residents. beware!

wow. so bad
I lived here in 2014. Laundry machines were only available to use from 9-5. Usually they weren’t functioning. You have to pay $20 to get a card for the laundry. Thats just the price for the card, you still have to load the card with cash. You can only do this if the manager has access to more cards for some reason. AC didn’t work in my apartment. Heat didn’t work. The apartment flooded when it rained. Several power outlets in the apartment had broken tongs in them. Was glad to leave. ... Unless there’s new management you should not live here.

Perfect Apartment for roommates, twenty somethings, and LA living
LOCATION:Hollywood terrace apts has a great location with everything you would need within in a 2 mile radius. If you're working in LA this location is one of the best to get around. Access to the 101 is just a few blocks away. I've been here almost 3 years becasue it's just that convienient I don't need to go anywhere else. If you don't drive there are many Zipcars nearby and because of the Hollywood area being so busy, Uber and Lyft are always pretty fast. THE APT SPACE: The apt layout is... the best with the joined living room and kitchen separating the 2 bedrooms, each with it's own bath, you'll never hear each other. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom with an additional door separating it from the room so it can be accessed from the living room by guests but the room can remain closed. The rooftop view is amazing, you can see all of Hollywood, into DTLA,the Hollywood hills and to Wilshire. RENT: It's $1700 but split to $850 it is worth it. AMENITIES: 2 garage parking spaces, armed security, in house maintenance crew, stairs to side streets, 2 elevators, Laundry on 3 floors, garbage shoot and recycling, sunlight in every unit. A FEW CONS: Interior apts don't have a view other than a courtyard, Parking is tandem, no pool or gym, and neighborhood can SEEM sketchy. Utilities are separte but have never amounted to much. Management is nice if you're responsible and on time and will cut you some slack on mistakes if you have a good record. Overall this is a great place to live and all the things I ever gripe about are outweighed by the good aspects.
