Quiet and cozy location hidden in the hills

When I found my apartment I felt like I finally found the place I could call home in LA. In my opinion this is the best location for someone who travels a lot for work and wants to see so many sides of what LA has to offer. The building and street are very quiet (even some major celebrities have homes on the street), yet at the end of the street is the on-ramp to the 101 freeway. The building itself isn't perfect. It's pretty old and needs several updates. I've had to have a lot of calls into... the building and they don't always get responded to quickly as the property manager won't own a cell phone (at least that's the story). My bathtub is unusable. They replaced all the pipes and refuse to do anything more and the water comes out full of red minerals I can only assume is rust. They say it's just the old pipes but as an avid bath lover I'm going to continue to stay on them about this. The building is rent controlled and the neighbors you'll meet at the pool have lived here a long time and will make you feel right at home!

Great location, decent management

Location, location, location. Walkable neighborhood with decent bars and restaurants, shopping centers and the metro. Shuttle buses tothe Hollywood Bowl stop a block away, and freeway access is easy to most freeways.

The building is a little run down, and getting things fixed can take a while, but it's not the manager's fault. It's managed by a corporate management company and that's how they tend to be.
