Decent place

Broadmoor Park Tower apartments are decent, big rooms, clean, indoor and outdoor pools, nice personnel, coin laundry room on each floor. My apartment has a beautiful view of Cheyenne Mt. And Pikes Peak. Big windows, which means a lot of natural light. Cons are that there is no phone/internet reception in the building or surrounding area, I guess only AT&T works here, so I had to get Wifi service through Comcast in order to use my phone and tablet, they should tell you that when showing or before... you make a deposit/sign a lease, but they don't, the small elevator, tough getting furniture up to the 2nd-6th floors, the fan doesn't work in there either, the management isn't quick to get work orders completed, you have to pester them, they only have one maintenance guy, which isn't enough, the entryway into the building isn't cleaned very often, and in the month that I've been here, the elevator has never been cleaned, there's no sprinkler system in the building, which is scary when people are allowed to smoke in their apartments, and they don't recycle here, which is very disheartening. Overall, it's a decent place to live, not the best, not the worst.

Hipsters Paradise - GREAT LOCATION - Fair Price - Building in Need of Love

This is a great place for those that are young and young at heart - just minutes away from hiking, gorgeous trails that lead to cool mountain creeks, trendy nightlife, old town shopping and eateries and much more! This centrally located building is just a hop away from Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, 1-25 leading in both directions of Colorado Springs and lots of convenient shopping. It has 6 floors with an elevator and a year round heated pool. It does have locked entryways for better... security but the building is old and has been neglected a bit. The hallways and stairs are very Freddy Krueger-like and definitely will not set the best first impression on a hot date. The front entry floods on a regular basis during the rainy season so if you don't mind getting your feet wet occasionally it's all good in the neighborhood - speaking of which, the neighborhood is nice and quiet with lots of options for great walks in the evening. There is THE BEST dog park in the city just 2 miles away and the scenery is always breathtaking. Deer are sited on a regular basis along with a cute raccoon or two in the evenings. The management is usually pretty helpful and repairs done in a timely manner. The building could be a really cool vintage six story with a make-over and lots of love but as is the building only rates fair but the location rates FIVE STARS. It's a give and take. If WHERE you live matters more than how the place LOOKS then come check it out.
