The apartments were just ok. I took a tour. The problem was the entire place was being renovated when I toured. Didn’t look as nice as it seems. For some reason the guide failed to show all the amenities. She just showed the unit I’d be living in and made the whole process feel kind of pushy and rushed. She asked for a $100 deposit immediately to “hold the unit”. She explains that the security deposit may double after a credit check which I had no worries about since my credit was very good and... she said we should be fine. As papers are being signed she asks if me and my roommate if are first time renters, which we were. She failed to explain that since we are first time renters we were REQUIRED to pay double security. She made it seem like everything was just based off of our credit scores and normal security deposit would do. Now we are $100 short for nothing and feel misled for our first experience. Never again.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
I have lived in this apartment for almost 3 years and have the worst experience. walls are easy to hear through, you have to pay to do laundry, they expect you to pay for any damages that happen without a maintenance there, then give you old already used appliances to replace it. Happened to me 3 times because they kept giving me an old stove that already have its issues. They don't allow you to use the staircase exit calling it the emergency exit but when I moved in that wasn't a thing. The... owner of this apartment only looks for ways to profit, they don't care about their renters and it shows MAJOR!!! Over work the maintenance guy cause they don't want to pay for another one to help. Leaky water pipes, I've gone without hot water 3 times within 1 month and my partner had to run to the gym to take his shower one of those times. DO NOT MOVER HERE!!! Its a trap. It looks pleasing to the eye, but once you move in and start working things, its not worth it.

Don’t move here!
Do not live here! I've been here almost a year and they have yet to fix the drafty windows. I can only open them halfway because of the tracks. They ordered a new one and it was denied by the higher ups. Swapped out my new stove for a used one and the grimy parts they were supposed to replace were denied by the higher ups. So they expect me to cook in someone else's dirt. Over the holidays the shelving that was never reinforced in the hall closet came crashing down, ruined some things, was never... offered a reimbursement and it took almost 2 weeks to fix. Meanwhile my closet contents all over the apartment. I share a wall with the laundry room. I can not use the outlets on that wall because they short. I can not take a shower when a washer is running because the water goes from ice cold to scalding then back to ice cold. I've been asking for new window screens since the day I moved in. They don't fit so there is a gap and bugs get in. They don't care about their renters and maintenance is overloaded and can only do so much.

Good Enough
Pros: -Excellent apartment interior for the price point. The kitchen is particularly nice compared to other comparable options in the area. -Location is great for commuters. Being right off of 84 is awesome, especially for someone like me who commutes to New Haven daily. -Apartments are bigger than listed online, with my one bedroom being more than 800 sq ft. -Water and heat included in rent is a huge save and gives me a lot of peace of mind -Newly instituted parking permit policy makes... greater spot availability and minimizes the amount of strangers parking in the lot -The noise is minimal for the most part, with the occasional stomping from above. Generally, you don't hear your neighbors' every move. -Even though it's off Burnside, the lot is encircled by trees and seems secluded.
Cons: -Since there's no onsite leasing office, package delivery can be a trial. It's very inconsistent if packages will actually make their way into the mail room or if they will be sent to the post office for me to pick up. -The change in management has made it impossible to get a maintenance request answered in a timely fashion. I placed a request over a month ago and made several calls that went unanswered. I finally received a call that a maintenance person was entering my apartment today while I was at work and without my permission, which personally makes me uncomfortable. -In my year living here, there have been several community-wide emails reminding renters of standard policies like the smoking, loitering, and the dog leashing requirements. Instead of actually instituting the fine for breaking these rules, Silverbrick instead sends these email reminders that are backed by no force and therefore have no effect. -The lack of central air can be a drag in the summer months because the window unit simply can't keep up, but it's a minor issue. -It's safe, but borderline. As a single female, there have been several encounters with loiterers on the grounds and in the stairwells that did make me feel unsafe. -The bathtub seems to be painted, not glazed, with what appears and feels to be flat wall paint. For someone who cares about their bathroom feeling clean, this kept my bathtub feeling grimy even after being scrubbed. -Dragging the trash out back to the dumpster is a pain in the winter months.
All in all, I was content with my time here, but not enough to make me renew my lease.

Great Place!!
The only apartment i have seen so far that's exactly like the website pictures. Everything is new and clean. Quiet and wall is sound prove, can't hear any noise from neighbor. Washer and dryer every floor. Pets allowed. I live here for 1 year, no complaint at all, the best value-price apartment i can find in Hartford-Manchester area. Definitely recommended.
