Roach infestation, bike stolen, lots of repairs in the first month

I moved into a severe roach infestation, complete with droppings and loads of yellow slime trails dried throughout the two bedroom apartment around the doorframes, in the cabinet hinges, under the counters, and so on. I went on a business trip for a few weeks and left my trike covered. It was my mode of transportation because my disability means I can't ride a regular bike. I came back to a cut lock and no trike. In the first month which unfortunately is not over, I've maybe had to request... repairs for 10 separate things? Strongly do not recommend this place, go elsewhere safer in every way for a bit more.

Good housing

This was my first apartment in Atlanta and overall I thought it was a great place to live for a year.

Pros: Location is excellent, it has easy access to I-85 and GA-400 as well as being in close proximity to Buckhead and it's within walking distance of MARTA (about 15 mins). It's also very close to a Kroger and a Target, places I frequented often. Maintenance was very responsive to all of my requests, usually within one day and the Leasing office also responded very quickly. The price is on...
the low end for other apartments close by although the complex is older and doesn't offer as much square footage as other places. The apartment has pest control come through regularly and I never had to deal with anything other then a cockroach now and then.

Cons: It had enough parking spots but there is no covered spots and at times I would have to park a little ways away from my building. The buildings in the complex are quite spread out which doesn't make the community feel close at all, mine (the 1000 building) was across the parking lot from the pool and exercise room so I didn't use those facilities very much. Noise wise the complex was mostly good but my building was very close to I-85, just a creek separating it, and so at night you could hear cars on the highway. I'm a heavy sleeper so it never bothered me but if you are a light sleeper that could be an issue for you. The only other thing is traffic can get heavy on Piedmont Ave and so getting in and out from the complex takes a little while somethings.

It's definitely not the best or nicest place in Lindbergh but I had a very satisfactory year there.

Location is the only draw

I have been quite disappointed with my experience at this place. Honestly the only thing it has going for its self is the proximity to Midtown and Buckhead. The management, leasing, and maintenance are great people. However, they can't make up for the lack of concern corporate seems to have for the residence. First, the are notorious for taking forever to fix anything major. The gate has been down for months. While it may not have been their fault it is down they could have gotten fixed... faster. They have let it linger on because they are not concerned with the dangers that allowing access to anyone can bring. They show no concern for your property. Second, they waited until the weather got warm to fix the pool. Now instead of being able to relax next to a pool on a hot day we sit wondering when is it going to open. Again the timing of this seems like very poor strategy. I'm sure if a pool was taking this long to be repaired at an owners house they would have a fit. Since it doesn't affect them they don't seem to care. Building need to be checked. The buildings are older. The windows and doors do not have goo seals on them and this allows bugs, drafts, and water to be able to get in. You can clearly see where seals have gaps or are damaged. I had water in my apartment every time it rained hard. They attempted to fix it but where unsuccessful. Eventually I had to be moved to a new unit. The unit was bigger, but was not renovated. They also are charging me a higher monthly fee for water even though I am the only tenant. They say it because I'm in a bigger place, but what does that have to do with the amount of water I use? I couldn't open the drawers in my fridge of the first place. The fridge door was stopped because of a wall, since it would not open all the way one of the draws would not open. Instead of working on renovations during 8 -5 hours they had people drilling, and hammering, and banging on my ceiling as late as 6:45 in the afternoon. The computer lab has one computer and printer and closes at 5:30 M-F and 5:00 on Sat. Its not even open on Sun. Very inconvenient for anyone who works.
The gym is 24 hours, but is very minimal. I love he people here, but am disappointed with whoever makes the big decisions about this place. They need to show more concern about getting projects completed in a timely fashion for their residents.

Quiet

the staff here is so amazing and still remember my name 6 months after moving in. Neighbors are quiet and friendly, and all community amenities are always clean.

Excellent Amenities

The managenent is very responsive, with several people on site staffing the office. The maintenance is very quick and the 24 hr maintenance is actually available twenty four hours. The fitness center is clean and well equipped, and the pool is pretty nice. The courtesy officer is friendly and the complex is both quite and safe.
