At 350 W Oakdale, you are paying for the prime location and excellent views. Aside from that, it is hard to justify why they are charging luxury building prices with none of the services or amenities to go with it. The fitness center is adequate but poorly maintained - machines are frequently broken, and there was once a cockroach on the floor for days before anyone noticed. The water is shut off at least once a month, and residents are only sometimes notified ahead of time. The walls are THIN -... I can hear every word of my neighbors' music and video games, and can hear coughing and burping because the sound travels so far. Management is hard to track down, and are not always responses to maintenance requests, let alone emergencies. Once, my key got stuck in the external door and I was unable to get in touch with anyone from the property team. In all, if you are willing to pay the prices that PPM charges, I would advise looking at any of the other high rises in the area where your rent prices will actually be justified. Similarly, if you are willing to settle for a building with less services, save your money and look elsewhere.

Old building and awful management
-Management is either lazy or stupid. There’s so many simple solutions to many of the problems that I’ll list here but nobody does anything about it. I imagine these problems have been happening for years. -paper thin walls (yes, you will hear everything neighbors do, elevators, and literally every door slams) -email communication doesn’t exist. -your service requests are routed to an agent who then calls the building and communication there always falls thru -no inventory checklist upon move in... , big concern there -air filter was black when I moved in -cockroaches -CONSTANT lost mail -paint peels

Ok place. Poorly maintained.
Elevators are always broken and repairs are lasting months, not weeks (like they told us) to fix. Water bugs are present.

Lovely PPM Apartment
This is a beautiful, well kept building just steps from the lake. The maintenance staff does a wonderful job replying to work orders as well as keeping up the lobby, common areas, and all hallways. The studio apartments are large and wonderfully designed, it almost does not feel like a studio. Every room has a wall of windows with a breathtaking view of Chicago, no matter what direction you face.
