I love living at the Abbot. This is my first year and I renewed my lease for next year as well. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and the building community is kind and respectful of quiet hours. Lastly the location is great because it is on Grand River.

The abbot is a great place to live. It’s right downtown which is very convenient for students. The amenities are great, especially the rooftop. Only thing I would say is it is very expensive and leasing fills up very quickly.

Amenities never work. Hot tub is broken every fall and is closed most of the year anyways. Gym never has proper cleaning equipment which is a health hazard. Their massage bed has been closed for months saying it is just temporary. On top of that I have been in my unit for over a year with the promise of our floors being redone. We moved in to our floors ripped apart being held together with scotch tape. After asking maintenance every time we see them, there has still not been any word on when we... will get these fixed.

We’ve also addressed the cleanliness of the gym with our cleaners and will ensure proper cleaning and supplies are available moving forward. As for the condition of your floors, we deeply regret the delay in completing this promised repair. I love having amenities like the steam room and hot tub, although they’re often closed or broken. Maintenance is always very fast and helpful. It was very difficult for me to find the after-hours support number when I needed help.
