I rented a two bedroom one bath apartment for about 2 years here and really enjoyed my experience. The apartment itself was a nice space, a little dated with the amenities (the cabinets, the fixtures, etc.), but everything worked and was in good order. I loved having a fireplace and a little deck, and the storage space off the deck was perfect. The grounds were always kept up and if I ever had any issues, the manager was right on it. It was nice to have the pool, but I only used it a few times.... I loved being right across the street from Greenway Park where I frequently walked my dog or took a bike ride. Very nice place and a great value for the rent!

one of my favorite apartments I've ever lived
This was a great place the landlord was very sweet, upfront snd professional. I really felt like she cared about her tenants. We were sad we had to leave this apartment to move back with family after a job loss. If I ever move back to oregon I'll move back here. Highly recommend great location !

Great manager and location
My dog and I have lived here for the past year and the location is great with all the parks and walking paths in the area. The management takes great care of the grounds (lovely flowers) and the residents are very respectful of one another. Space is good for the price. Our downstairs unit stayed quite comfortable without a/c during last summer's multiple hot days. All in all a very good value.

Downing Hills Apartments
I've lived here for over three years now. The apartments are clean and well maintained, and for the most part, quiet. The location is great -- very near some of the local trails. The apartment managers are really great, too. They are priced well for the size.

Quite but Old
Our apartment has a nice layout with lots of storage. Quite neighborhood with tons of parks close by. However, the cabinet doors do not close completely, it has that musky smell no matter how often I open the window, it's always warm/hot plus the heaters are on the biggest walls which limits logical furniture placements, and older appliances that run loudly.
Laundry room is always filthy, and I still can figure out when the office is open - its "open" hours seems to be hit and miss. ... Manager isn't super friendly.
Has a pool (I think it's unheated!) but the hot tub has been filled with cement. The ducks and yellow jackets seem to love it. There's a door labeled "bathroom" which I think has the shower, but it seems to always be locked.
