This shout out is specifically for the Sunfield Lakes Apt Mgr, Billy. Though I only know Billy via chat/text, he is-by far-one of my favorite people on the planet! I was going through one of the most difficult times of my life and Billy was such a shining light. He was supportive, encouraging, and genuine. Sadly I wasn't able to be approved, but even so, I am so grateful to Billy and the support he provided me with regardless of everything else. I have since been able to find a place to live and... still I would recommend Sunfield Lakes to anyone looking for a sweet place to live. Keep being the great person you are Billy, your light is exactly what this planet needs. You helped me keep hope alive when it felt like all was lost. Bless!

1 bedroom upstairs in nice complex
Overall a good experience, with a few big exceptions. POSITIVES: Gorgeous area, well maintained property, nice neighbors for the most part, quick repairs upon request, sunny & nice apartment, free movie rental, beautiful pool & jacuzzis (tho I'm working such long hours to pay my already high rent, $911, that I haven't even had ONE opportunity to swim :( & it closes in 2 days. & so far, the managers have been nice & I know they work hard. NEGATIVES: Rent increase & oddly high PGE** electric the... first few months (I & my neighbors who lived below me both experienced this, & it's part of why they moved out recently) is a HUGE deterrant for the average income. I just learned they'll raise my rent in 6 weeks-by around $103 to a WHOPPING $284/month extra!!! (happy birthday to me tomorrow :( ) ...serious OUCH, the amount depends on how long I need to go past my current 1 year lease. I knew it could increase by as much as $100 a month, tho told them when I rented, if it did, I'd need to move. So I hoped they'd take into consideration I've kept things clean & am a quiet renter, working hard on a smaller income for schools & at risk foster teens. ANOTHER NEG: When I was locked out of my apartment one nite recently, I was dismayed & stressed to find they no longer provide a key onsite. I was shuffled to a huge call center out of state and told to go get myself a locksmith (at 11 at night? How?) On my tiny budget & I doubt a locksmith would be available, & I couldn't call anyways-my phone was dying. Had I not managed to crawl in thru my own window, I would have spent the nite in my car... ***January etc, PGE was twice what it is lately (even tho I've had an a.c. & multiple fans running nonstop lately,) very odd, as I was barely home in January etc, used zero heat except a small energy saving oil heater (supposed to run $12/month,) & did superfast 3 minute showers, laundry elsewhere & only 1 load of dishes. And no tv, computer, or microwave to use electricity. I had PGE come out tho the issue was never resolved. Not sure what that was about. I am thankful tho for my beautiful views. Just sad to have to move yet again :(

good
Have lived in the community for several years. Nice community but badly needed upgrades. The rents keep going up and nothing is added to the apartment to justify the hike. The rent is current market value but the apartments are over 15 years old. I stay because I hate to move but have to now because it is just not affordable on a set income.

Great place to call home
We moved in to Sunfield Lakes Apartments at the end of February 2015. They take a lot of care to make sure things are kept up. They repainted the out side and replaced the playground inside the apaertment grounds to make sure that everything looks nice. Service requests are taken care of in a timely manner, always with 24-48 hours. The pool has been a frequent place to visit this summer, and the office hosts get togethers for the residents, the latest one they even raffled off prizes for us. The... office staff is very professional and nice My only complaint is that there isn't closer parking.y apartment is on the far side so i. The winter I have an uncovered walk in the rain.

Looking for...
Looking for a nice, cozy neighborhood, with picturesque apartments and excellent management? Look no further than, well... The Cannery Road apartments? Tigard maybe? But definitely don't look here!
Now, if you're looking for expensive, yet cheap (you know what I mean!) apartments, where the mentality of management seems to be "surely you can handle that yourself", and where there's one (yes one) competent maintenance man, look no further! Sorry for the run on sentence, but really, I could... keep running on forever.
Call management to complain that kids that live across the parking lot are smoking cigarettes and pot right outside your open window because the stairwell is a good place to hide? "Well, just tell them to go away"
Remind management that the last neighbor that did that had their car vandalized: "I doubt it was because of that."
Call management to complain because kids are constantly using the area in front of your apartment to skateboard, even though it's posted as "no skateboarding": "Well, go out and tell them there's no skateboarding there!"
You definitely won't get any attitude if you ask them to clean out the gutters because rain is pouring directly down on you from the patio above because the downspout doesn't work.
Should I get into the hodgepodge construction? The horrendous excuse for "painting" that just occurred? (Hint: if you want to paint a front door, you'll have to open it to paint the entire door!) The idiotic trash collection system (don't waste your money on the blue recycling bags, since they just trash everything!) The automatic rent increases?
Do yourself a favor, and take your time and look elsewhere. I'm stuck here right now due to circumstance, so the least I can do is help others avoid the same fate!
