Do not rent here!!!

The property is owned by capital growth corporation. My experience living here was very poor. They failed to fix a window that was leaking and caused extensive damage to the unit and to my bed. There was mildew and whenever maintenance would come to fix it they would never actually fix it. Management was rude and unpleasant to work with. Very unpleasant time living here overall.

High rents with no upside. DO NOT RENT HERE.

DON"T RENT HERE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

The units are basic and overpriced. Tenants are nickel and dimed for every little thing. If there is an incident with a unit, the upper management will do anything in their power to push the responsibility and burden on the tenant. For instance, a few units flooded at Braewood and the tenants became responsible for paying for the damages and then they were forced to move out. They are constantly raising their prices with the excuse that they are "upgrading"...
the units. This is a lie. The upgrades are usually a cheap excuse to raise rents and usually they're simply routine upkeep of the property like repaving the roads or cleaning the outside of the buildings. They added security cameras as a benefit to the tenants, unfortunately I found out the cameras are fake so when someone's vehicle was robbed in the parking lot the cameras were useless. The parent company of Braewood is called Capital Growth and they treat their employees and tenants horribly. They're only out to make money any way possible, even if it means screwing their tenants.

An oldie but a goodie

Although Braewood apartments were built in the 70's, they are in very good condition. You can tell that they have been well built. The grounds are kept green and free of trash. I am in a bottom unit and I hardly notice the people upstairs. It stays cool in the summer and has a cozy gas fireplace for the winter. The bedrooms are good sized and there is 1 3/4 bath. They have been well maintained. The swamp coolers are in the process of being replaced with central air. There is a large... grassy area next to the basketball court and a small playground for the kiddies. There is also an onsite laundry for those that don't have a washer/dryer for the in-unit hook-ups. The property manager is very nice and pleasant to deal with. My maintenance requests have been dealt with same day service. There is one covered parking stall per unit and ample open parking. The rent is very reasonable with six or twelve month options. It is located near freeway access, a shopping mall, park, library, grocery stores, churches and post office. It is pet friendly with two pets allowed per unit. All in all it is a great place to live and I recommend it. I hope this review was helpful.
